During 2024 Cat Gris when the freak snow storm rolled in. It was so strange!
The squall of the wild !! Everyone in the stadium turned their backs to the storm and was facing south. It was pretty funy to see.
I turned around once to look at the field to see what was going on and the goalposts in the N endzone were waving like one of those inflatable dudes outside a Verizon store !!
The cool thing about that squall was the response by the audio folks. Some fans were began leaving due to the weather and the audio folks started playing that "Pump it up!" song and everyone stopped and just started jumping up and down and screaming. The players too. It was glorious.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

My first Cat-Griz! That was so fun! Watching the players jumping and dancing was so cool. And the stadium was just electric despite the storm. I'll never forget that!!

Had to be 2018. I was in Spokane visiting a friend whp had a heart transplant. I left the hospital and went to Jack and Dan"s bar near Gonzsga University where the locsl Cat Alumni were gathered. Walked just as Griz scored putting Cats dowm 22 to 0. Somber crowd.

Then it changed ....

Cats charged back culminating in goal line gaff by pale pink pandas.

The bar errupted in hysteria and I danced in joy with many strsngers in Spokane !

Mine is the Spot Tavern in Renton Wa., probably ‘99. I walk in with my friend, easily an hour before kickoff and it’s a sea of Maroon. No seats. A round table yelled over that we could sit with them. We begrudgingly sat with them and were the only Cats at the table. I figured this going to be a brutal ordeal. At the end of the day, Cats lost but we had a great time with a bunch of Griz fans, and we were treated to drinks and food that was being ordered family style. It changed how I saw the rivalry and changed how I welcome strangers into our tailgate. Give ‘em hell, you’ll be able to tell the ones who aren’t worthy of sticking around for food and beer.

If I’m remembering correctly, that table had a connection to the State Attorney’s office. I wish I would’ve kept in touch. Not for the Attorney part…. But just a great group of people.
