"The "heel-toe rule" in college football (CFB) means a receiver must get their entire foot down in bounds for a catch, even if the toe touches in first; if the heel comes down out of bounds in a continuous motion (toe-heel or heel-toe), the pass is incomplete, but a slight pause or dragging the foot can make it a catch. It clarifies that for a catch, the entire foot's contact with the ground must be in bounds, contrasting with the NFL's stricter two-feet-down rule, but college football's rule is often misinterpreted, leading to confusion about one foot vs. the whole foot."
Really?!?! I've never seen that enforced. I swear I've seen hundreds of catches where just the toe taps in bounds.
From Google AI: "Drag Catches: A player can drag their toes inbounds, and as long as they maintain control and the toe is the first part of the foot down, it's a complete catch, even if their heel goes out."

Leo is such a great interview. You can't help but smile after hearing him talk and has all the right views on the game.
We're lucky to have him as part of the broadcast crew.
He’s awesome!!!
He wasn’t having any of the “Cats played their best game of the season” talk. I’m not sure where anyone is getting that. Our tackling was bad, penalties in the red zone, KO coverage wasn’t good, middle 8 was terrible.

I think it's only if the whole foot eventually comes down. With a tap the toe or forefoot touches and comes back off the ground, which counts as a foot inbounds. If the toe comes down first inbounds and rolls to the heel out of bounds, it's out. I could see that being very hard to officiate without that rule.
Yall do it to yourselves. I stopped listening to that guy three or four years ago.
I think they do incredible. And he was using that term to show what we once were, and what we are now as far as the stadium goes. The guy was glowing about our stadium, energy, noise, and overall homefield advantage.
I'm not sure what some people are looking for with these guys?
Come on this is complete trash. This is completely pro gris. They make every attempt to spin BS narratives against the Cats. I cannot believe that Bobcats fans support this narrative. If you continue to accept this, it will never change. I sure hope we beat their ass so we don’t have to listen to this ****** for awhile.

Coulter has some personal bias but he works really hard to be objective (usually), most of the rest (Brooks, Tootel ect...) are pretty subjective.
Sammy is the best that I have found, you can tell he is cheering for his Griz, but he gives his analysis on how he see's it period, plus he is damn entertaining to listen to and watch.

I’ll say it again, everyone he interviews with the Cats, to include former players, former coaches and Cat Media individuals are always extremely humble. They hardly ever make excuses and if there is someone or something to blame they usually address the Cats, not the refs or some other easy out. Colter does a great job, I know he acts agreeable to get the most out of the individual being interviewed, however, I’m not extremely happy with the ‘losing the locker room’ narrative that some of the griz personalities have been pushing and him not calling that out for the BS that it is. My actual favorite takes lately have been Akem’s, you can tell he really loves football and he’s learning how to hone his knowledge of the game into a listener friendly broadcast. He’s tough on the griz and the Cats when it is deserved and gives them praise when they deserve. We are lucky to have the coverage we have, however, the hubris and reassurance Missoula has been not only seeking for their football team, but the college itself is exhausting.

I feel that way too. I think Sammy has gotten a ton better at staying neutral and analyzing the games that way. As a former player, of course he's biased, but he's very professional in his assessments and doesn't homer very much that I've heard. Colter does a great job too, but I also notice he shifts loyalties depending on who he's talking with, lol. He's good at throwing out devils advocate thoughts and questions too though to keep the conversation going and more balanced. Sometimes I'm honestly not sure who he favors. I don't listen to Brooks much but I don't mind Tootel. He's a griz loyalist for sure, but often he's been quite willing to give credit where credit is due.
Mostly I'm growing weary of the media bias overall being so griz heavy. This year the Cats just have gotten little credit which is truly amazing to me at this point. Early season, after two losses, okay, new team in many ways, new coaching staff in many ways, but by now, it should be more balanced than it is. That being said, I think @Colter_Nuanez does the best job of anyone, and I appreciate that alot!

For years Colter has said that he doesn't take sides or favor either team and I believe him. He's also said many times that he lets his guests talk and doesn't challenge them. That's how we end up with some of the overly biased takes that aren't corrected or reined in. We have to just take it for what it is.
Brooks has come a long way over the years and has become a real truth teller regarding both sides. I used to not like him but he's great now. However, he seemed to revert to griz player/fan this week.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!
That podcast with Brooks was bush league. It’s the same narrative that has been presented by the media for far too many years. If you keep telling Colter, he’s doing a great job I guarantee the bias will continue.

Personally I had no problem with anything Colter talked about on that podcast, I actually thought he made a few subtle efforts to stick up for the Cats. Brooks however, bothered me, and sounded pretty biased a couple of times.
The one that got me fired up a little was when Colter asked him if it’s possible that the Gr*z blow us out, and he answered with an emphatic “yes.” He then asked the same question about the possibility of us blowing them out, and he hesitated to even say it was possible. Colter was trying to point out that it has to be possible. Um… how have the last 3 games in Bozeman gone for them? How many games have we lost at home the last 5 years? When is the last time we got blown out by anybody at home? It’s much more likely that we blow them out, not the other way around.
I see Sam as one of the only "reasonable" media guys out there right now covering the FCS along with Skyline. So many media members are picking the Griz, and all the hype they are getting is almost making this game feel like the Cats are underdogs. In reality, SoS, Team Stats, Home Field advantage, and the fact we already beat them away 3 weeks ago all point to the Cats having a major advantage. It's literally brain damage what I am seeing from the media this week. Can the Griz win? YES! Does it mean they should be favored by well over half the media in this rematch? HELL NO!

After watching the interview, I’d love to get Brooks to a poker table! That being said, he would never make it as a salesman. He said it, but damn sure didn’t look like he believed it.

You also have to keep in mind that UM is very limited with press conferences and MSU is very available. MSU gives about an hour to about 15 minutes from UM. It might be even greater than that.
