Anyway, I think we beat Yale similar to how we beat Eastern this year. We match up very well against them... everywhere.

That feels about right. Cats beat Top 10 Davis by 20 something. SDSU with a good QB is gonna be a load for the Panda dRickRund wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:33 amWow, Massey has the CATS 38-14.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 11:10 pmNothing to prove wrong. We’ll probably open right around 2 td favorites and cover that easy and then some. After watching the game, our lines are soooo much better.
Prove me wrong?!?
And the Gris losing by 3, 30-27…

Pitsenberger is a dude and he'll probably get home at least once, so I think Yale beats Eastern on points scored.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 2:13 pmAnyway, I think we beat Yale similar to how we beat Eastern this year. We match up very well against them... everywhere.

Didn't seem like Yale did a lot of motion or eye candy. Throw primarily to 2 guys and hand off to 1. Didn't seem to use TE.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 4:41 pmPitsenberger is a dude and he'll probably get home at least once, so I think Yale beats Eastern on points scored.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 2:13 pmAnyway, I think we beat Yale similar to how we beat Eastern this year. #7 Pitsenberger reminds me of Cam Skattebo in many ways. They both run hard and are more than happy to hit rather than be hit. They both look like they get stronger as the game progresses. They have very similar body types, long trunk, shorter leg for their height. Skattebo 5'11" 215 Pitsenberger 6' 220.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 5:33 pmDidn't seem like Yale did a lot of motion or eye candy. Throw primarily to 2 guys and hand off to 1. I thought it was interesting that their QB Reno who is not terribly short at 6'2" had at least 5 passes knocked out of the air at the line of scrimmage. That among other things about their QB should bode well for us.

I also thought he looked like Skattebo or Larison too. Their Qb didn't really dazzle me any, I feel like we'll handle him easily.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 6:49 pm#7 Pitsenberger reminds me of Cam Skattebo in many ways. Yeah Reno is a serviceable QB but no way does he pose the same defending problems that Brungard would have.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:16 pmI also thought he looked like Skattebo or Larison too. Yeah Captain Obvious told me that, and I should've given him credit for it.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:46 pmThat's an understatement!Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:33 pmYeah Reno is a serviceable QB but no way does he pose the same defending problems that Brungard would have.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:16 pmI also thought he looked like Skattebo or Larison too. But Brungard didn't have a Pitsenberger that the D had to worry about. He seems similar to Gillman.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:33 pmYeah Reno is a serviceable QB but no way does he pose the same defending problems that Brungard would have.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:16 pmI also thought he looked like Skattebo or Larison too. Re: Youngstown State or Yale?
I think the comp for Pitesenberger that Cat fans will remember is Travis Theis for USD from last year's semifinal.

Theis had more bounce. I'd argue this guy is more Dan Moore, Griz FB back in the 2011-2012 teams.

I guess I'm not overly concerned with him because I also expect us to be up 35-7 at halftime and our run defense is miles better than Youngstown State's. I also don't expect our secondary to give up what YSU gave up in the 2nd half. The YSU discipline was insanely bad in the 2nd half as well. We make teams earn every yard with how we play defense. I expect several turnovers as well.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 2:04 pmSkattebo was the first person that came to mind when i saw him run for the first time.wbtfg wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 2:02 pmDude is a workhorse.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 1:51 pmTheis had more bounce. Ton of man on 3rd and 4th and long that gave up big plays or soft zone that gave up the cushion for the first. Rewatching Cat Griz that was a concern. Griz conerted some long 3rd downs. We have to get to QB on those. I think we will much better than YSU.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 2:37 pmI guess I'm not overly concerned with him because I also expect us to be up 35-7 at halftime and our run defense is miles better than Youngstown State's.
