Lol, ok. For me I hate seeing a young guy transfer out before he gave it much of a chance. Maybe he did and it just didn't work out. Never know, but still disapointing.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 2:33 pmSure. But this guy does this in every transfer thread, except for when they come here. Don’t see him hating on the portal when Lamson came. You are. Crews is a Junior and Dom Solano is a sophomore. Seth Brock is a redshirt freshman.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 2:13 pmWho? Edit: I misunderstood what you were saying. Downing from Malta will be a redshirt freshman, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of guys ready to go. A transfer at DE, or two, probably wouldn't hurt.

Wonder if they move one of the LB's to that spot. Seems like there is an embarrassment of riches there now.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 2:13 pmWho? Re: Major Thornhill in portal
I did see we got a promising incoming freshman DE. I know it's hard to count on him to be impactful immediately. With that being said, John Hurst is a 6'4" 240 pound DE from Texas, seems to be much more physically gifted than Thornhill. His short Hudl video pretty impressive too. If Thornhill didn't want to challenge himself to stay here and fight for a spot after only one year, then I say good riddance! Let the new guys compete and fight for that depth spot. I'm sure we will get a transfer or two as well. We will be just fine.

I’ve brought up moving Grebe to end before, but that’s a pretty tough ask for him to do it.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 3:19 pmWonder if they move one of the LB's to that spot. Jake Vigen will be a senior and will push for a spot. Plays hard and is serviceable. Frederickson has battled knee injuries but hopefully will be able to have a healthy spring and will be ready to push for rotation minutes in the fall. Then you have Blaine Downing as a true freshman like Thornhill who is likely still not rotation ready until 2027. Transfers will likely be the play but a few players I wouldn't mind seeing a position switch to DE: Ryan Krahe or Luvens Valcin. Krahe is going to be the 5th LB again next year. Valcin will be the 4th TE again. Krahe is strong and has long arms. Valcin is so damn athletic and was a problem as an edge rusher in high school. Luke Smith, Carter Cocke, and Carter Curnow are the next wave of TEs though Valcin is ahead of them...but Rocky and Hunter/Rylan are going to be sophomore and juniors, respectively. Seems like we have a logjam so why not experiment this spring?ZebraCat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 3:17 pmYou are. Crews is a Junior and Dom Solano is a sophomore.
