Terrific for him. He's been awesome for us this year. OTOH having 30 "finalists" for an award seems indicative of the "everyone gets a trophy" culture we have now.

BSC Stats:

118/166, 71%, 1610 yards, 9.7 YPA, 17 TD, 0 INT

88 carries, 439 yards, 5.0 YPC, 9 TD

Over 2000 total yards of offense and 26 total touchdowns with zero turnovers in the 2nd best conference in the FCS. Incredible.

I think he and Dowler solidified themselves the last 3 weeks. No way someone on each side of the ball on the 2 seed was not going to be a finalist. I don't think either has a chance just because statistically they don't have the numbers. Most off that is due to Cats sharing the ball and reps.

Congrats to Lamson, pretty awesome to be on that list and only be a Junior, really hope he comes back next year!

Agree on the number of finalists. The list shouldn't be larger than 10 (which is still excessive) but I assume none of the voters have even watched half the guys on the list and the finalists are just chosen by looking at stats and who conference leaders communicate about.

Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!
And a kick away from a championship.
Here we go. Miles Sansted. Snap, hold, kick, Up, GOOOOD!! FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Same here but I’m also not ruling out that he follows Vigen to Oregon State if he is offered that job and takes it.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride

The biggest storyline for the Cats this year has to be how few times we have lamented not having Tommy. To step into the shoes of a legend, being new to the program and missing Spring practice is crazy difficult. He has made it look easy.

In a vacuum, Lamson has been incredibly impressive. But when you throw in the fact that he is stepping into the shoes of Walter Payton award winner and maybe the greatest Bobcat player in history.....that just makes everything Justin has accomplished that much more impressive.

It's hard to think of any other player that seems to improve with every game he plays. I hope we get to see Vigen and Lamson for another 20 games...
