Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

It has been very fun to watch Vigen coach this year. It looks like he’s having a lot more fun, letting loose a little more than usual.

I've thought that too. But he's actually showed some anger too, like after Cal Poly. A friend who was at the game Saturday said he looked upset a few times throughout the game. That may not bode well for the griz because after that Cal Poly game the Cats dominated the next one.

Is there a better interview on the team, than Paul Brott?

There are so many good ones, but I agree - love the PB one. I'm also jacked that it appears he'll be playing on Saturday... hope he's not too limited.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I listened to the griz presser, and it seems like the media is nearly afraid to ask Bobby questions (a few shaky voices  ) . To be fair, every time he talks, even IF he is trying to be nice, it sounds snarky.

I like the mindset of our coaches and players. I think this is the year we finally beat them in Missoula.

I will give him credit, I have listened to a number of their pressers and some of the reporters ask him some head scratching questions. At times I feel like they ask him the same question 3 different times. His pressers seem like a scene from The Office.

Even the thumbnails are night and day between each Bobcat interview and the single video for papa bear and his cubs.

Oh, there's no comparison! But even when asked a dumb question Vigen stays professional and gives a reasonable response. He's just so approachable and Bobby isn't at all. I'm sure there is a fear factor and he probably likes that, arrogant prick! I also have watched several interviews and Bobby's players aren't anymore engaging or comfortable, hardly ever see them smile. But of course, with him sitting right there, not trusting them to be interviewed without him present probably plays a role in that, they don't want to say the wrong thing. I sure enjoy the Cat player interviews much more, because they're relaxed, intelligent, and smile.

I hope he’s having fun and just letting loose, . . . but it seems to me that he’s a lot more stressed this year than previously. He used to hardly ever swear on the sideline. This year, he's throwing f-bombs left and right and chewing out the players a whole lot more. I'm really hoping he's happy here and is just giving this group of kids more fire to pump them up becausemaybethey respond to it well.

I think he feels the pressure for sure. Last year they went undefeated until the natty. Then to start with 2 losses was rough, especially because they really should have beat SDSU. Maybe this team responds better to that fired up attitude, some people just need that for motivation, others melt with it.

First he doesn’t show enough emotion, now he’s showing too much.

Dude can’t win.

This.

Or just maybe…. After struggling to “get over the hump” in the biggest games, he feels like his typically calm and laid back persona hasn’t provided the right message or motivation for the teams that “almost” went the distance. I don’t doubt for a second he’s tired of coming so close but never finishing at the top, he’s a competitor too! Can’t blame him for showing a little bit of fire… Just another possibility.

I think it has as much to do with the personality and leaders of the respective teams, their personalities, and what they needed from a leadership style. Last year's group was led by stoic, example guys. Mellott. Wehr. Ortt. Grebe. This team is younger, louder, plays with more vocal leadership, edge, and attitude. Lamson. Brott. Crews. Caden. The corners. I think Vigen probably knew they needed that edge to them, and also at the same time is reflecting the personality of some of the team leaders. I love it. I love the swag. I love the chirping. I think it lends itself to being especially a better road team.

He's also not as stoic in the locker room as he has historically been on the sidelines. Maybe he's just let some of his true personality seep through in public while on the sidelines.

100%. I've always believed too much has been made of his stoic demeanor. This guy has a fire that burns as hot as Choate, as hot as Kramer, as hot as anyone. It shows up differently because he's not a blowhard type like some others but Vigen would knock you over to win as much as any coach we've ever had, make no mistake.
