Wash-Griz Logistics

Post by HookedOnGriz » Mon Nov 17, 2025 1:25 pm

Safe travels to those coming to the game. Should be an epic one.

Just a couple suggestions to those who maybe haven’t been to the stadium:

- get in line for the gate at least 30-40 minutes before Noon. All the gates are a bit slow and some are worse than others

- avoid the north gate behind the north end zone. For some reason, that is the one that piles up with the most fans and takes the longest

- the best gate entrance, in my opinion, is the west gate which is behind the Adams Center.

- if you go for that gate, the best way to do it is by actually going through the Adam’s center and waking through that Hall of Fame area because then you end up on the side of that gate where there are less fans trying to get through. They take fans in both directions at that gate so this puts you on the good side of that

Hope that helps. Have fun but not too much :)

Also if you’re looking for good places to eat or drink:

The River City Grill in Bonner has awesome breakfast. They get a lot of Griz fans on game days.

Meagher Bar a good place to gather before game. Not as insane as downtown bars. Has an endless Bloody Mary bar or mimosa bar.

Iron horse always fun too

If you're ok with walking a mile or so, park in one of the parking garages downtown and walk. The one next to Market on Front is great, and then you can get a breakfast burrito there.

Do some of the bars downtown still do shuttles to/from the stadium? Used to ride the Reds bar shuttle for the game and it was super convenient

Thanks Hooked. I'll be there. I was told that Brint's talk gate is the one to hit.

If a person never has, I recommend parking on the other side of the river and walking across the walking bridge to the game.

Do NOT park in the Albertson's parking lot, they are very strict about that and will have you ticketed or towed

I agree with this. It’s a beautiful scene going across that river toward the stadium. As for parking, there is a parking garage on front Street by Front Street Pizza. It’s not a terrible walk to the stadium and then it helps you get out of town pretty quickly. Otherwise, there’s street parking to the west (across Madison street) of the stadium that’s pretty convenient. There are a few lots where you can pay like 15 or 20 bucks to park as well and I think something like that would be well worth it. I believe one of those is across from the Doubletree hotel, and one or two is to the west of it (also across Madison street)

I start my Friday with a couple stiff ones at Al & Vic’s, then the excellent blacked prime rib sandwich at the Depot. Wander down to the packed house at Reds, with a trip thru the Mo Club, out the back door to the back door at the Rhino.
Best downtown in Montana!
Go Cats!

One of the girls at the rhino won Best Caesar in Missoula a couple years back. They’ve always been awesome.

I will reluctantly serve some of Missoula’s finest Cold Smoke to any Cat fan that comes thru. Spot 22 - between the north entrance and concrete arch and the river. Big Windermere tent. I know I’m an insurable asshole sometimes online but I’m generally a good guy to have a beer with haha

Thanks! Haven't been to Cat/Griz game in Missoula in ages. Really looking forward to it!

The breakfast burritos here are good but have a backup plan. I went on regular ol’ Sunday and it took a full 30 minutes. I imagine it will be busy this weekend.

I have to suggest eating at Tamarack Brewing downtown. We go there every time we are in Missoula. Great beer and great food.

Also Kettlehouse brewing is a great place to stop on the way over.

We’ve always had a great experience in Missoula. The tailgates are friendly as long as you have fun with the banter. Get salty and it could be a long day for you.

I highly recommend the Reds Bar bus to the game. Last time I rode it for 5 bucks. They pick you up at the bar and take you back after the game. Lots of parking downtown. Plus you get to see Von at Reds. Good dude.
