I just realized that if the Cats win Saturday they clinch at least a share of the Big Sky title.
huh?
if we win this week and lose next week we are not even in the race for the discussion for a share of the title and neither is anyone else unless you are hoping PSU wins this weekend....
I love the narrative these guys are pushing — that Bobbi is intentionally having his team play close games because he wants them to learn to handle adversity. Like he’s some kind of mastermind, operating on a level others can only dream of reaching.
Great idea, letting the other team throw for 450+, recover an onside kick, stop you on 9 of 10 third downs (or whatever it was), etc. Flipping genius.
They’re not analyzing; they’re rationalizing. Spinning a shaky performance into some grand, intentional master plan.
Trailing Idaho State almost the whole way was PURE genius. Can't do it any better.
A lot to unpack here in regards to UC Davis, as well as Cat Griz. Definitely worth the listen if you know what to expect. Jordan trip is well spoken and a smart football player. Lots to learn for the average listener about the team over the hill and how they think. I’ll probably post this in multiple spots.
Jordan Tripp was a complete tool 10 years ago. He was one of those who called us "Bozeman State" and said we didn't deserve to have Montana in our name, etc etc. And that's fine, but when you decide to try to break into sports media after years of over-the-top rivalry smack, those things can come back to bite you. I'll never listen to anything with his name on it. F him.
Just my opinion.
Meh. Some people grow up. Different perspective as a player vs. the rest of adult life. My opinion, it’s okay to have that level of rivalry hatred when you’re playing. I’m glad I’m not held to everything I said or did when I was competing.
I was gonna add something that irritated a lot of Bobcat fans. I love when the hippies over the hill called us Bozeman State! It was so gratifying when Choate went there and beat them and we’ve kicked the ****** out of them here multiple times. Always wanna ask how does it feel to be beat by some city college!

Goodness. It’s time for me to stop posting today. Huge miss by me.
Way to go Leo Davis! That interview was awesome.
So much of what he said came from deep within his soul and beyond, to the depth of the history of his family and the Blackfeet nation. I'm in awe of what he had to say and how well he said it. Much respect to you mister Davis.
If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

This.
He covered so much, and he did it so well. I had a lump in my throat and tears rolling down my face the whole time. Jim Thorpe and Carlisle, Jim Thorpe and Canton, the origin of the term Big Sky...I need to go watch it again. When Colter was at the Chronicle, he did a full-page feature on Leo back in his playing days.

one too many rides one the bucking bronces in Cody Rodeo?
I enjoy Sterbick’s interviews. He has great football knowledge but delivers everything in laymen’s terms and with positivity.
One thing I notice about the coach interviews is how much they know about the opposing team’s players. Perhaps it’s the added element of calling the players by their actual names and then adding in their height, weight and even stats, this detail adds another layer of professionalism and sportsmanship.
so this year, it is win or lose for the BSC title. Outright for one of us. How often has that happened since we went to the unbalanced schedule?
Happened in 2023…both teams entered the game 6-1 in conference play with winner being the out right conference champs and getting the number #2 seed in the playoffs as well. That year, we didn’t seem to get off the bus…we didn’t match the intensity of the game and lost 37-7. Hoping this year we show up! We are the better team across the board and we need to play like it! Go Cats!
