Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Tim Plough is my second favorite BSC coach but the number of injuries and the inexperience of Pinnick, despite his talent, will be too much to overcome:

I think it will be an interesting night. There is this weird narrative with our defense right now, others know they are a brick wall, however, think we don’t get to or pressure the QB because of sack numbers. Boy are they in for a treat.

It just seems to me that the Cats are improving as the season winds down and that's the mark of a good coaching staff and excellent team chemistry and team leaders. I think it will be close for a half. After that I think we win by at least two TDs.

Re: Cats vs. UC Davis Prediction Thread
I watched a couple of their games early, just to see what the noise was about. Basically they are better than a bunch of teams that aren’t very good this year. The QB can throw it hard and for distance — but unfortunately it quite often isn’t going exactly where it should be. Let the ‘Cat D-line tune him up a bit and we’ll see if you need sacks to keep a passing game in check.49thparallel wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 4:50 pmTim Plough is my second favorite BSC coach but the number of injuries and the inexperience of Pinnick, despite his talent, will be too much to overcome:

Yes. The huge difference here is we get UCD at home and have to travel to Missoula after this. But to your point, yes I would put UCD as very comparable to UM on a neutral field.saintcat40 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 11:14 amIf we really are that much better than Davis, are we also that much better than the gris? On paper, they look like pretty even teams to me.

Re: Cats vs. UC Davis Prediction Thread
I see a night game bump and our Cats 42 and Davis 14. Good game in the first quarter and close enough for some complaining in the gameday thread…
but another nice win to set up the ending of BSC play.

If we lose this will go down as the biggest trap game in school history. I don’t like it. So much weird. Late, late start. Cat-Griz next week. Drone show. ESPN2. If we can stay focused through all that, this is a mentally strong team.

I predict an unbearable long Saturday! Gads, just under 12 hours until kickoff. However, once the house starts a rockin all will be well.

yeah, 10:30 PM EST. lots of late night viewership on the east coast. at least it is a decent time for a game in Cali.

I, unfortunately, will be one of them not coming back after halftime. Couldn’t find a babysitter so bringing the kids. I think 10:30 is gonna be their max. Those going back in, cheer loud, I’ll be on my couch screaming at the tv.Montanabob wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 9:49 amyeah, 10:30 PM EST. lots of late night viewership on the east coast. at least it is a decent time for a game in Cali.

Re: Cats vs. UC Davis Prediction Thread
Nah... I don't see any of that distracting this team. Sure, crazy things can happen, but these but these guys seem pretty dang focused on taking everything one step at a time, literally. But I do agree with the fact that if the Cats somehow were to lose this game, it would be the biggest trap game loss in history. The night game factor, is actually a pretty big benefit for the Cats, if anyone isn't sure about who that benefits. So we're basically as full strength, at home, against a UCD team missing fifteen players off the two deep.

I really like UCD and Coach Ploughing. Aggies have always seemed like a class act even going back to my high school days?
Just think to many issues facing UCD.

Re: Cats vs. UC Davis Prediction Thread
This is a trap game. We'll need to play one down at a time. We have to establish the running game. Cats have to stop Davis' big plays. I hope we dominate the line of scrimmage. Need to play to win in this one. Robin Hauck credited with 3 tackles on the play. Success in 4-down territory will be key. Focus on moving the chains. Punch it in the Red Zone and don't settle for 3. Kamala was close - only 44 electoral votes short. Run plays that don't take long to develop. Lamson must have pocket presence. Follow through on your jumper. After further review, Hauck credited with 2 tackles in pre-game warm-ups.
