Bobcats vs Weber (not a) State Gameday Thread - Unofficially? Maybe - Maybe Not
Bobcats return home to face another other cat team from Weber. Weber, so far this year, is a shadow of it's former self. Fresh off of an absolute thrashing at the hands of the mighty pandas (see egris), the outlook doesn't look any better for them this week.
With injuries to a couple of Bobcat interior defensive linemen, we will see just how stout the other 8 Bobcat defensive linemen can be.
The BBQs have provided, on occasion, some interesting entertainment in Bobcat Stadium - most notably the relatively recent 4 safety game. Maybe they have something up their sleeves to top that this year.
Go 'Cats!!!

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

I start my Saturday checking the title of the gameday thread. It always gives me a chuckle!
Game wise, I doubt this one is close. Hoping a big lead gives the backups lots of reps.

I hate having two starting D-lineman down, but I can’t think of better timing for it to have happened. This game will give the guys behind them an opportunity to grab another gear, I’m betting the motivation and intensity will show today. Next years starters are hitting the field today as “ the guys”, they’ll show out I bet… talk about enhancing depth at the right time.
I predict Adam an Julius are going run roughshod on Weber today, by the 4th quarter Weber’s souls will have been stolen.

I am so sorry, but today could be an upset. I broke my golden rule, don’t run on game day. As an athlete at MSU in 2010 I went on a long run the morning of the playoff game against NDSU. I remember running by the stadium as I lived near by thinking to myself, these sad sacks from North Dakota don’t know what they are in for. As we know we lost. Since, I’d say about 95% if I ran before a game, including the SDSU game this year we have lost. This morning I spaced this out and ran 5 miles. I’m sorry gang.

I think you break the jinx today and you don't have to worry about it in the future. This is not the same team as 2010 when Ash never played backups and the 1s were wearing out. Nor is it the same team that played SDSU when the season was young and the team (including coaches) was still trying to figure out what they had. Had we played someone other than Oregon the first game, I firmly believe we would have been better prepared for SDSU.SparkCat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 10:20 amI am so sorry, but today could be an upset. Just don't run on game days the next 2 Saturdays.

Most athletic people are not evil, in the future. NO RUNNING ON SATURDAY.SparkCat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 10:20 amI am so sorry, but today could be an upset. Since when did they make it so you can't park in the ****** parking garage on game day?
It's reserved for MSU staff only now. Staff need the ENTIRE parking garage?

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

I believe that changed this year. We lost our normal lot too. And now it takes 30-40 minutes to leave the stadium.
Hating the griz since 02.
