Puts me at 16-3 straight up and 15-4 against the spread on the season.
Friday night
Montana @ Sac St(+7) Montana is 2-5 versus the spread and really only covered comfortable against Indiana St, their Cal Poly cover was .5.Lots of noise around this one but Sac St is just that, number 1 in the conference with 25 sacks. Montana's Oline continues to be a sieve so expect to see Ah Yat having to move around to make plays. Problem for the Hornets is he's pretty damn good at making a blitzer miss https://youtu.be/A0kutfHFYIA?si=DJ0qXj_wwxbgaSsy&t=5505< this is the play in my opinion that won the Griz the game vs ISU. He's also pretty good on roll out throws. That said for what is 6 out of the 7 weeks the griz looked poor for stretches of games, nearly losing or not putting away lessor teams. "He cant keep getting away with it" says Jesse Pinkman and Sac players get up for the nationally televised game and put all that talent to use.
Saturday
EWU @ Weber St(-1.5) Weber had a nice offensive output against a very bad PSU. EWU is better than PSU, but not by much.
Davis @ UNC(+9) After I hyped up UNC's defense last week they gave up 40 to Sac St. While Davis will be coming out of the bye hoping to get a bit healthier especially on defense. UNC still has not lost a game by double digits
PSU @ Idaho(-19) Toilet bowl of 0-3 BSC teams. Idaho still being handicapped like a playoff team. They most definitely are not. In fact, this game gives me pause because how often do you see a winless team get up to try a win that one game on their schedule they have a chance at winning?
NAU @ ISU(-1) Everyone is ready to bury NAU because they lost back to back vs MSU and Davis? I had NAU as the most overrated team this preseason and it's kinda playing out that way. Their win over UIW is aging like an avocado as is squeaking by Utah Tech and 'only' winning 31-17 at PSU. ISU is tough test in Holt or whatever they call that abomination. Toughest one to pick this week and might change in the next day or 2.
MSU @ Cal Poly(+17) What can I say? Games are about matchups and Poly has some weapons and all conference D-linemen that give some teams fits (see UM Griz). However they haven't played a defense this good and an Oline like this that will negate their ability to get that WR the ball or move Lamson off his spot. Being on the road usually would give me pause but that Cats showed in Flagstaff that the defense travels and the run game is starting to return to form.
