I think we would do well to consolidate all this into a single thread instead of starting a new one every time another job comes open...

I have it on good authority that this is not allowed. We have to create a new thread for every vacancy. You should be shamed for even considering this.

Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

This is getting to be absurd. I get that Florida and Penn State think they are entitled to a national championship every year, but this is Colorado FREAKING STATE.

NCAA needs to fix this before it totally spirals out of control. No coaching interviews and no transfer portal until after the season is over. Not the 12 game season that ends in November, but the full season that ends in January.

Fix what? No coaching interviews until the entire season is over for everybody? That’s nuts.

Requiring a team whose season ends in November to wait until the two month long playoff process has ended to interview and hire its new head coach seems like a rather extreme "solution" to a problem that I'm not sure exists to be fixed. When coaches are fired there will always be rumors and speculation about who the next coach will be, which is all we're discussing right now. The important thing is that Vigen himself would never leave MSU during a season, which some speculate is largely the reason why he isn't coaching Washington State today.

Why? Players can’t interview until after the regular season. NCCA won’t be sble to stop mid season transfers if it doesn’t stop mid season interviews.

Who is saying that any of these schools are conducting mid-season interviews? They have interim coaches to finish out the current season and will make their hires after it's over. I'm sure there are discussions being had behind the scenes with agents and whatnot, but you're never going to be able to legislate that kind of thing out of the game.

What mid season interviews are you talking about?

I think the Colorado State job could very well be very desirable. The program has good administrative support.

Yeah, CSU might be an easier sell for Vigen to his wife as well. I know Molly Vigen likes the mountains.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

I think it’s a better job than Oregon State.

I don't think the NCAA is driving the bus anymore.

Maybe BN can have a bot that creates a “Vigen a candidate at _________” thread every time its newsfeed picks up a firing. Could save a lot of time.

Ohhhh interesting. I think both are great opportunities. But, why do you think CSU is better than OSU?

I think they have a far better chance at becoming the dominant program for their state, lot of money over there, they’re going to be in a conference equal to OSU, just seems to have more going for it imo.

The sun shines in Ft. Collins, too.
