Last year's players
Does anyone know about what last year's players are up to now? Like the ones we haven't heard much about since the pro day? Obviously we've tracked Tommy up to him being cut by the Saints, but what about Brody, Rylan, etc?
It's a bye week and talking about polls is getting old. Last years team, the seniors in particular, was a real special group of players. Just wondered if anyone was in the know?

Last I heard - and no links to back this up, unfortuantely - was the Brody couldn't find a home in the League, so he's trying his hand at bobsledding, where power and speed are prized.
I hope it works for him. Seeing an all-time Bobcat great in the winter olympics would be something special.

When I first read this I thought you were mocking my question. But maybe you're not?Bobcat Sig wrote: ↑Thu Oct 16, 2025 9:55 amLast I heard - and no links to back this up, unfortuantely - was the Brody couldn't find a home in the League, so he's trying his hand at bobsledding, where power and speed are prized.

I also heard at the Butte Bobcat bbq this past summer that Brody was training bobsled for the Olympics. Would definitely be cool for him if that works out. Think of the flair he could bring to a Gold Rush game!

Re: Last year's players
I’ve seen Wehr, Schmidt, and Sain at games this season. I know Danny Uluilakepa still lives and works in Bozeman. I believe I read somewhere that Danny works at Kenyon Noble.

I didn’t get all the details, but it I sounds like bobsledding didn’t work out for Brody.

Saw Danny after the Gold Rush game. Haven't seen him since. Assume it's because Taki isn't playing.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

Oh, Brody was in either a news video or a Cat video at a recent game.

I'm pretty sure I saw Rylan Ortt in Lewistown recently. Wondered if he was living there, but maybe he was just visiting.

One of last year's players, Drew Polidore Jr., is playing very well for the Cal Bears right now. He is #2.

Rohan Jones got a lot of mentions on the radio today for Arkansas when they played Texas A&M. I don’t know if he’s a starter or not, but he does play a lot. If I remember correctly, he had two long catches plus a two point conversion.

Currently has the 2nd most receiving yards on the team with 3 touchdowns.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 12:03 amRohan Jones got a lot of mentions on the radio today for Arkansas when they played Texas A&M. Re: Last year's players
Polidore had 5 tackles, 1.5 tfls, and a pass defended. Also recovered the ball to end the game. Pretty solid game for a backup.

Wonder if he is happy with his decision. Would have been one of our leaders on defense….. or a backup at cal?
I don’t know…. obviously I’m biased and I’m sure he got some money, but I would bet he has some regrets.

Re: Last year's players
I would think that Wehr and Grebe, while not having ideal measurables, are folks who still have a real shot at the league if they are given a chance.
I would think going the Canadian/UFL route would make a lot of sense for them, and am surprised not to have heard any movement on this score.
Their combine peformances showed they were NFL athletes, even if a bit undersized, and I would think that trying to work their way in through play in the "minor leagues" would make sense for them.

I wonder if there is a line of communication between them and the likes of Alex Singleton for advice?Travelingcat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 11:29 pmI would think that Wehr and Grebe, while not having ideal measurables, are folks who still have a real shot at the league if they are given a chance.

Re: Last year's players
I’m sure he is. He’s getting starter reps rotating in and a lot of film for NFL scouts. He’s also probably happy/relieved that MSU is doing so well. Seems to be working out about as well as it can in his case.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 1:16 pm

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Last year's players
Transfers Out from 2024 Team:
Conner Moore - has started every game at RT for Michigan State; has been relatively up and down per pff scores as he's been a Top 5 graded player several times but also a bottom five; switching to RT probably impacted some things but he's talented enough to overcome; definitely won't be leaving for the draft after this year as right now he's likely an undraftable grade...but when you get a cool million who really cares right?
Dru Polidore - has started every game at FS for Cal; 4th on the team in tackles, 2 passes defended, and 1 fumble recovery
Jon Johnson - has started every game at CB for New Mexico; 4th on the team in tackles and has 2 passes defended
Andrew Powdrell - has started every game at CB for UNLV; 4th on the team in tackles and has 1 pass defended
Rohan Jones - doesn't "start" but is their de factor H-back/move TE and plays a lot; second on the team in receiving yards (281 yards) & has 3 touchdowns; Rohan is basically their most explosive pass catcher as he only has 9 receptions so 31.2 YPR; Arkansas pounds the rock with a great +1 run game so Rohan is in a similar system to last year; you could argue this has been the most successful transfer to due to it being a competitive SEC school
Scottre Humphrey - has started every game at RB for New Mexico but backfield is more of a committee with Bankston (Weber State transfer) and McKinney (Sam Houston transfer); 1st on the team in carries (68), rushing yards (339), and touchdowns (5); holds a 4.9 YPC average which is 2nd on the team to Bankston's 5.6; Bankston has 326 and McKinney has 240 rushing yards; Bankston has more total offensive yards as he has 14 catches for 200 yards to Scottre's 3 for 22. I don't know...I don't think the plan was to be part of another RB by committee when Scottre transferred
Blake Stillwell - has started every game at FS for Southern Utah; 2nd on the team in solo tackles and pass breakups
Lonyatta Alexander - has yet to play in a game for Idaho due to injury (I think...not on the participation report yet in 2025)
Elijah Elliot - has started every game for Bryant & is their leader in carries, yards, and touchdowns; 107 carries for 467 yards & 5 TDs
Zachary Dodson-Greene - has started every game for Portland State; is their #1 receiver at 29 catches for 258 yards and 1 touchdown; this isn't a slight to Zach who competed for a spot on the two-deep and played special teams last year but MSU's 8th to 9th best receiver in 2024 is the #1 WR for Portland State in 2025; happy Zach gets to play in general and closer to home in Portland
Casey Kautzman - Montana Tech's kicker
Cole Bullock - has played in 5 games for New Hampshire (I think he's hurt); 7th on the team in tackles despite playing in 5 games only; also has 1 TFL
Ryder Trujillo - backup at DII Northeastern State on the DL; has played in 3 games, has 4 tackles, and 1.5 TFLs
