I don't know, but @TomCat88 will need to add his name and his relatives to the bobcat football family list.

Per Kyle Hansen --> "His uncle Cory Robinson played at MSU while his dad Casey Robinson played at Montana. "

Similar to many here wondering why cats didn’t offer Hammond out of Malta, I find it strange Griz didn’t offer Robinson especially with the family connection.

I’m just going off their Twitter accounts. Robinson posted his Cats offer and NAIA offers but nothing from Griz. I believe similar situation for Hammond with Griz.tetoncat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 14, 2025 7:02 pmDo we know neither got an offer from the other school.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Tue Oct 14, 2025 4:59 pmSimilar to many here wondering why cats didn’t offer Hammond out of Malta, I find it strange Griz didn’t offer Robinson especially with the family connection.

And, apparently, Kendra’s husband played for the Cats.

I’m not super familiar with the Griz roster, but I’d guess positional needs play a big role.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Tue Oct 14, 2025 4:59 pmSimilar to many here wondering why cats didn’t offer Hammond out of Malta, I find it strange Griz didn’t offer Robinson especially with the family connection.

Re: Kade Robinson Commits!
Every other sports journalist mentioned his Uncle Cory, nice to see Kendra get some love as well. (Even if one of Cory's friends didn't appreciate it). The Bozeman Robinsons have been part of our Tailgate group for years (going on 15?).

Yes true. We do have a stud TE who has been out all season in Jake Olson. I’m guessing he will medical redshirt and be back next season if this one is over for him. But I’m still a little surprised they wouldn’t throw an offer at another up and comer in their own backyard.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 14, 2025 9:41 pmI’m not super familiar with the Griz roster, but I’d guess positional needs play a big role.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Tue Oct 14, 2025 4:59 pmSimilar to many here wondering why cats didn’t offer Hammond out of Malta, I find it strange Griz didn’t offer Robinson especially with the family connection.

MSU runs a lot of 2 and 3 TE sets. So lots of opportunity for PT in what is generally a pretty small room. Also, guys like Pickering, Snell, and Rohan Jones have had great success as a TE in the Vigen era.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 10:04 amYes true. I also don't really buy in to the whole "we won't recruit this position in-state because we already are full on the roster". Right now we are mostly talking about PWOs right? Again, low investment opportunities with good potential. So even if MSU has a bunch of young corners...its not like we are going to expect 3 to 4 of them to stick around past the next two years in the age of NIL especially since three of our starters left for FBS last year. That game has changed for recruiting to more of an over-recruit as much as you can status.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 10:04 amYes true. That’s not only thing about HOG’s statement you shouldn’t buy.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 10:31 amI also don't really buy in to the whole "we won't recruit this position in-state because we already are full on the roster". Re: Kade Robinson Commits!
There has been other threads that discussed roster limits. Scholarship number is one piece but also aren't total players limited. PWO get to start when camp does and walk ons when school starts and then rosters have to be at some level at a certain time? If so aren't the schools somewhat limited on PWO offers?VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 10:31 amI also don't really buy in to the whole "we won't recruit this position in-state because we already are full on the roster".
