This was a really big game for both Okada and Daniel Hardy. Okada started due to injuries and had more tackles (by far) than in his previous 11 games combined. Hardy tied his career high in Tackles with 3 and saw snaps on defense. So both guys really potentially solidifying their spots on the roster and in the league. Also, each became a "vested veteran" for retirement purposes today by playing in at least three games over 3 different seasons. That means they are eligible for a whole host of retirement benefits, including an annuity, a severance package on retirement and a pension that starts at 30K a year or so at age 55 and will go up an additional $10K per year for each season they play more than 3 games.

Both have officially graduated from guys who got "a cup of coffee" in the league to guys who have had actual NFL careers. And hopefully more big things to come!

Both have now exceeded the average tenure for their positions in the NFL. DBs at 2.9 years, DL at 3.1 years

Average NFL career is 3.3 years, skewed by kickers/punters at 5 yrs, and QBs at 4.7 yrs. Shortest is RBs at 2.5yrs

NFL = Not For Long

It'll be interesting to see what his PFF(?) grade is.

79.4. Ranked 3rd on the Seahawks defense. A really excellent game and one that should give Seahawks coaches a lot more confidence in him.

Ty Okada = Football Player. Plain and simple. And to think he walked on at MSU. One of those diamonds in the rough.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I was at the game and tried to pay attention to Ty. He started and played the entire game. It appeared that most of Jax plays went away from his side. He did make a few plays. It was pretty cool watching one of my favorite Cats playing on Sunday.
