The Unofficial Officially Unofficial Cats at NAU Gameday Thread
First conference away game of the year. Cats have sometimes struggled/under performed in the "dome."
NAU hasn't looked particularly effective against mostly lesser opponents, but the dome seems to be a positive for them.
Cat's defense (a strength) against the Jack's offense (supposedly their strength) should be an interesting matchup. The Cat's offense should be able to roll over their defense based on each other's opponents, though.
Having attended a game at NAU, I can positively state that their penchant for slicing a slab off of a large log every time they score is absolutely annoying. Therefore, I hope the Cat defense holds them scoreless.
Go Cats!!

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

That chainsaw is very annoying and I hope the Cat defense can keep it silenced today.
I don't remember if they cut the same log for field goals or just what they do. They should probably cut a smaller log for field goals. I was told once that they sell/give those log cookies for $$$ to big donors. Don't know for sure if that's true or not. They paint NAU and their axe head logo on the face of each cookie. If they had real Cojones they'd use an old school two man crosscut saw.
GO CATS!!

Not much board interest in this game so far today or all week.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

It’s the awkward start time and I love Cat football but hate dome games. Especially at places that absolutely have no reason to have a dome.

It's weird. This is the inflection point that defines the rest of the season IMO. Maybe we're all just waiting with bated breath, as this is probably the week we find out who this cat team really is. I think we win in dominating fashion. But you're right the lack of chatter and banter has been odd.

Not even a prediction thread. I see a few people made one in the At NAU thread.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 1:19 pmIt's weird. Overall, the chatter has been less this years than then the last two. For me, I love the change and I really enjoy this team, they are young, physical and we get front row tickets to watching them define their identity!TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 1:44 pmNot even a prediction thread. Marketing the cookies is a great idea. We need to think of something we can create after each TD and sell. Bigger the game the more it costs

Probably due to the fact that when there’s dissension, a handful of posters dominate and shun.

Something with the canon? I'm not sure how that works actually, is there a blank shell they use to load it to make it go boom that is left over afterwords?

Re: The Unofficial Officially Unofficial Cats at NAU Gameday Thread
Really weird start time. I didn’t know what to do with my anticipation so I’ve just been reading all day trying to stifle my angst. I put on some other games but just couldn’t get into them. Also thinking about the M’s game later this evening. It’s got the makings of being a fantastic Saturday if everything falls in my favor.
I’ll take the Cats 38-13

I'd suspect there is a shell casing left. Will have to watch after the next cannon shot.
