Friday, August 1st would be my guess based on nothing of course, but it has a nice ring to it.
I guess I didn't realize they were putting a small board up inside. Probably for track times and a clock for football?
I don’t know. I think MSU is in the top tier. SDSU’s is really nice and probably the best. Yes, the gris have a condom for the IPF but their stadium and champions center are are nice. What about schools I don’t know much about? Tarleton, schools in the hcbu’s? NDSU’s has tremendous facilities but I don’t think they are centered together.
NDSUs facilities are all in one convenient location, especially their practice and training facilities. Their stadium is very close by as well, just across the parking lot.CodyCat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 8:42 amI don’t know. I think MSU is in the top tier. SDSU’s is really nice and probably the best. The FargoDome is right across the street from NDSU's football facility. With the new IPF MSU is definitely at the same level as SDSU and NDSU in terms of overall facilities, UM is right up there too depending on how much you care about their bubble compared to the permanent structure the others have built.CodyCat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 8:42 amI don’t know. SDSU's is all-in-one, whereas MSU's is two separate buildings. I'd give SDSU the edge there. My memory is a little foggy from 2023 game, but they also have a nice baseball complex nearby, and I believe their track and field outdoor stadium and hoop arena is right there, too. The athletic department/facilities at SDSU is very impressive. Having everything in a tight spot like this is the best thing about it. It's gotta be nice for MSU football to not have to walk from the fieldhouse to the stadium, and back. MSU also has it's outdoor/grass practice fields across the street, which is another plus.CodyCat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 8:42 amI don’t know. I think MSU is in the top tier. I think you are right. The only real secondary option would have been to put the Stadium on Dyche field with the track, indoor, BAC, and everything else in that area, to include where the domes and tennis facility are located. That would have really centrally located everything to include the Brick and fitness center, but would cause problems for future campus expansion, which is happening in that area now.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 9:17 amSDSU's is all-in-one, whereas MSU's is two separate buildings. If you could go back and start over at MSU, I'm not sure what I'd do different. I like having the large parking lot between the fieldhouse and the stadium. It would be a long walk for a lot of people in the snow for BB games if MSU had put the football stadium where that parking lot is. It would've been nice to have the training center BAC(?) and IPF as one building I guess, but I'm not so sure having them separated isn't better as it may cause distractions.
MSU/Bozeman weather isn't conducive to baseball/softball, but I think opportunities are there for hockey and women's soccer. I think MSU could attract a lot of good hockey players from Canada and surrounding states.
I was going to say the same about SDSU. We were given the tour and a presentation about their stadium and indoor facility projects and funding when we played there a couple years back and it was nice. MSU certainly in the top tier as noted.CodyCat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 8:42 amI don’t know. I think MSU is in the top tier. SDSU’s is really nice and probably the best.
