I actually don't think this boom from a week ago is for Gavin Walden. Vigen said today he got MNx2 which is likely Walden and Matthew Perusse who is another OL. Matt Smith also did a DJM post so I think we got Walden (defensive line) and Perusse (offensive line).

You don't need to do anything if you don't want to. It's just easier to track the commits if we try to stay as accurate as possible on who each thread is about. I think it was last recruiting year or maybe the year before where three or four commits came in one after the other and it was hard to figure out which boom was for which commit, but in the end, it really doesn't matter. This entire board is just for fun or it should be. This boom wasn't for Gavin though, but it's all good, we can make it about him.

Then there's the fact that about 50% of the players on the NDSU roster are from Minnesota. And, oh yeah, Bronko Nagurski.

My thought after watching the tape is how’d we land this kid? His explosive power and body type lends me to believe we’ve hit above our average on this one.

Gris were front runners to sign Walden until his official visit to Bozeman. Then he commits. Have a buddy who played basketball for the Cats, who lives in Eden Prairie. Told me he knows Walden and he is a animal on the football field. A really good student too. Great pick up for us. As a Vikings and Twins fan. I'm all about those good Minnesota kids. Plus, my mom and her side of the family is from there.
