He’s an amazing writer. Please don’t go read anything I wrote after reading this.

I loved your piece about Grey handing off the flag to Tommy.

Just adding to it… I haven’t seen this clip before. His dad totally got to me at the end.

He looks a lot like his dad. Tommy has that burning competitive fire in him that’s not readily visible from the outside. There are naturally bigger, faster athletes out there but he has the heart of a lion and does not know fear.

This article exemplifies a lot of the reasons why all the trash can BS is so hard to stomach this week.

Agreed…. This team and these kids sure are champions regardless of the outcome. I’m proud as ever to be a Bobcat.

Thanks Andrew. No comparison in my opinion to Tommy and other great players. Others all excellent cogs in well tuned machines. Tommy is the machine. I don’t expect to see another player of his caliber and character ever again.

Tommy was incredibly unique and special. I agree that we will probably never see another quarterback at Montana State like him. I would never hold it against Tommy that he didn't get to experience a national championship. The first half of the NC our team was underprepared and outcoached, and as a result outplayed. Tommy did all he could to overcome that and came very close.

I know Tommy wanted that 'ship very, very badly. But not as bad as we all wanted it for him.
