Sorry, but I’m sneaking this into here just because not many view the track forum. And it’s huge.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Just shy of 13,000 season tickets sold. Thats absolutely incredible. Going to be tough to get single game tickets, even with a garbage home schedule.
So we have 12,968 season tickets for a stadium that officially holds 17,777. That means 72.95% of the seating in the stadium belongs to season ticket holders. That seems extremely high. I mean it's not really a problem necessarily, great for MSU because those seats are paid for every week regardless if anyone shows up, but I'd be curious to see how that compares to other programs across the country.

How many student tickets are there for each game? 4000?

Considering it's the first time we've ever sold out season tickets it doesn't seem to be too high. I'm a little disappointed the season ticket allotment isn't 12,777 though.

How many corporate blocks of tickets were sold to some of the corporate sponsors? Knowing many of the new residents can purchase a half dozen season tickets for less than a conference championship game ticket for their school has to be encouraging! Really looking like the athletic department is stepping up their salesmanship!

Help me understand, what’s the significance of the number 12,777?

Just putting this here:

In case anyone forgot

June 6, 1944

The allied armies began the invasion of Europe to rid the world of the fascists.

Thank you to those that gave all.

Thank you for posting this! My uncle landed at Normanday and then wound up at the Battle of the Bulge. Stan Milesnick from north of Belgrade received a Distinguished Service Cross as a Company Commander at the Bulge and my uncle received a Silver Star.

Everytime I read the Operation Order for Nomandy, I sit in amazement at how great our country is and how brilliant many are who served and gave all.

Very cool. My wife’s grandpa was in the second wave at Normandy and was in the battle of the Bulge as well, I don’t know many details beyond that. And my grandpa was in the South Pacific during the war as well.
We went to Utah Beach a couple years ago to check it all out.

Nothing but respect for all they did.

This is a day to remember for certain. I just reread the bit about Hal Moore and all he did while with the 7th Cav and think the 25th is coming soon. You do realize the 7th was stationed at Ft. Ellis when George and Tom with about 324 others left Busby and rode to Crow Agency back in 1876? Gatling Guns wound up over on Rosebud Creek by Terry...

New campus hotel is moving along. Hotel will be located fairly close to the football stadium.

Good news students! The school will be repainting the existing parking spaces smaller so everyone will be more likely to get scratches and dings. Support your local body shops!

That is great news! It's been what, nearly five years in the planning phase? Here's what I hope it kind of works its way toward:

We'd usually stay in the condominiums. Great gameday-week long atmosphere. Plans for more rooms yet?
