Yeah, and they just signed another good QB transfer from Mississippi State in the same class.
Ole Miss did the same thing signing two stud QB's after signing a USC transfer last season. I don't understand how they're getting these kids to do it. Not saying they should run from competition, but why leave a starting position at a P% (obv RJ Martinez is different) program to go and compete for a spot you might not win? It's got to be NIL money.

He gets to go to a big school in his home state, compete for playing time at a major program, and probably get more NIL than he would at NAU. Plus if he has any desire to coach post college, he’s in a way better spot for that. It’s not all the money factor.

Baylor is FAR better spot than NAU. He is in the Big 12. If Ifanse was going there it would make a ton of sense to me. Baylor is a major school with a pretty good football program.
Hating the griz since 02.

I agree but his chances of seeing the field decrease quite a bit at a big time school like that.

Wow. Quite the jump for an underclassman to make. We've seen jumps up to the power 5 by seniors (Prukop and Adams come to mind) but not a guy with only one full season under his belt. Will be interesting to keep an eye on this one going forward.

Since he’s from Texas, they may well have had him on their recruiting radar in high school, but passed on RJ thinking he wasn’t quite what they wanted. Then he goes to NAU, pretty much shows he’s a good D-I at any level prospect, and then is available again. He declared his intent to transfer quite awhile ago, but may have signed early or late — a lot of moves are just now becoming public. NAU? Farm team. Go out West, hit a few home runs, score 22.22 ppg, or throw a bunch of catch-6s and you are ready to move up.

Catch 6’s?
Sure! A reverse Pick 6. You throw it to your own team.

Is that like a touchdown? (TD)

It’s 2023, it can identify however it wants.

Yet this seems like a better move than going to San Jose State. Just saying….

Yes, I suppose it could be treated as such, but is rather generic as TD is used to refer to a number of disparate goal-line crossing events. Just like a Pick-6 is a type of Reverse TD, but that is not specific — or Catchy. Taco scored on a punt return and a Catch-6.

He's playing lacrosse? He sure over bulked during his time out of the game last year. He looked slow and lost some instinctual moves. Sure not the same RB as the year before. Maybe his game is lacrosse!

I don't think Knight every really got back to form after his injury.
That said I was never overly impressed with him, really good red zone back though.
