Does the layoff slow eastern cats down
Does plying last week help the southern cats.
Hard to say, but I expect another high scoring game
Take the over 44-38

Re: Cats vs. Weber Predictions - Playoff Edition
This game won’t play out like the last one.
Weber has Davis back. He’s a stabilizing factor for their offense and will keep them from going on a prolonged, stagnant stint on offense.
MSU has Ifanse back, which makes MSU more capable of sustained drives than it already is (22 straight scoring drives with starters). MSU has increased the role of Marqui Johnson, which makes MSU more explosive and that might be a bigger factor than sustaining drives.
MSU 45, WSU 27
(Despite the score, I’ll still consider Weber to be a top eight team)

Did GCG really welch on a bet? If so, why still posting here. If not, all good.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

There was a lot of talk that the Bobcats got a tough playoff draw and you have to look no further than a second round game against Weber State. It should be a good game but I think that the cats can control this game because they are a much better team than they were during the first matchup. Ifanse and Chambers are back. Rylan Ort is back. The cats o line has something to prove after being snubbed in the all conference selections.
My prediction....
Bobcats 48
Wildcats 35

Re: Cats vs. Weber Predictions - Playoff Edition
One thing to be leery of is WSU's ability to take away MSU's running backs. This season they limited Sumner and Elliott to just 60 yards on 17 carries. A year ago, Ifanse (25-81) and Elliott (4-31) did a little better by getting 112 yards on 29 carries. Last year McKay was the QB and ran for 11 yards on eight rushes, this year Mellott was in and had 273 yards on 32 carries.
It'll be interesting to see how that applies this next game with Ifanse and Chambers back. With WSU being gap sound when it comes to stopping the RBs, but losing Mellott this past game, will it compensate to stop the QBs or will it stick with the plan since they were close to winning both games?
It's chess, not checkers, when these teams meet.

Re: Cats vs. Weber Predictions - Playoff Edition
One of the many quirks of the last game was penalties. Although Weber was the much higher penalized team coming in, they were only called for three penalties for 25 yards while the Cats were 11-75. The current stats are Weber 92-673, Cats 59-531. If the season average play out in this game, and Weber incurs more penalties, that will give the Cats an edge.

He absolutely did, go read this thread if you want some entertainment. He kept digging in and even proclaimed that his word is as good as gold and the mods have permission to ban him forever. Some prophetic posters knew he'd never keep up his end of the bargain because well because he's been trolling this site forever and he can't stay away at this point, he's addicted.

@Go Scats Go For this one year break are you talking about your last post of the 2010 year on November 16th and your 14 posts in January 2011? You did make it all the way until June 2011 before posting again so good job I guess.

This may be the toughest opponent left for MSU in the entire FCS field. Better get to Bobcat Stadium Saturday and support the Cats!

Buddy nobody likes someone who doesn't honor their word. I'll gladly spend 3 minutes of my time to show anyone who wasn't around back then the data on the bet you made that you reneged on. Re: Cats vs. Weber Predictions - Playoff Edition
Total tossup game in my opinion.
For Weber- does special teams and passing offense carry the day.
For Bobcats- stop off tackle runs. No missed tackles. Can our pass offense be effective enough to keep chains moving.
Think whoever wins this game make it to semi’s
