This is a huge commit. I’m told Daly is very happy about it. Marsh’s achievements are extraordinary considering the high school he plays for. To break the single season sack record there is a great accomplishment considering the likes of Crebo, Bobby and Brad Daly, amongst others. Four sacks vs West proves that he didn’t pile them up against weak opponents.

The wrestling component is very noteworthy as well.

Yeah the wrestling component is intriguing. He's listed at 235 now so he might have wrestled even lighter than that, but had that many pins at 285. That's a guy who knows how to use leverage and probably has good speed.

Marsh is one of just four non-seniors on the 2021 AA all state team on defense. Two of those are return specialists, so actually one of just two. Tom Carter (dad played football at MSU and sister - very good sprinter - is on MSU’s track team currently) was the punt returner on the all state team. He’s also a very good WR. He’s most likely getting a lot of interest from MSU. He won the 200 and was fourth in 100 at the state meet. Carter finished ahead of Taco Dowler (3rd/5th) in both races. Only .08 separated the top five in the 100.

This kid is something special to watch. He's been playing DT much of the season and looks like a cross between Chase Benson and Zach Minter. Strong like Chase, quick like Zach.

It will be interesting to see if we project him as a DE or DT, and what type of weight he can put on.

I think Talon has a chance to be really good.

Had one more last night. 19 on the season, I believe. What’s even more impressive is he plays DT most of the time. He also lines up at OT and FB. They play him a lot and he looked a little worn down at the end of the game. He wears #52, so it’s fitting he’s going to MSU. I don’t know if he was the best player out there, but I thought he was the most impressive looking player on the field.

The radio guy/NFHS said, “once he gets his talons in ya, he isn’t letting go.”
