Geez! I heard (though I was unable to verify the salaries) about 5-7 years ago that our OC/DC makes about $75,000 and the position group coaches make about $45,000. I hope that's not rightThe Butcher wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:18 pmI was curious on NDSU's coaching staff salaries:
—Matt Entz, head coach, $396,620
—Randy Hedberg, associate head coach/passing game coordinator/QBs, $104,460
—Tyler Roehl, offensive coordinator/tight ends/fullbacks, $131,527
—David Braun, defensive coordinator/safeties, $124,366
—Nick Goeser, special teams coordinator/defensive tackles, $89,516
—Joe Beschorner, running backs, $94,310
—Dan Larson, offensive line, $101,184

I couldn't find (I didn't look that hard) for the salaries of assistant coaches at MSU.

Can he run? There is a good FCS team that’s running out of runners.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:01 pmBoise former starter is pulling a McKay. They are not typical Boise, in fact they are downright lousy. You have to wonder if the AD has realized yet he errored in not going with Choate.

Things haven't exactly gone great for Choate since I authored the original post. Tough loss to Texas Tech giving up a lot of points.
It'll be interesting to see how the season plays out for Texas. Choate's coaching future and potential promotion likely depends on things going well.

As a Husker fan I really hope they dont want Campbell. He has done well at lowly Iowa State. But, not that well. Next name please.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 8:29 pmI've been following that saga a bit, my wife is an iowa state alum and matt Campbell is a hot name for that job (he's not going to go there). Nebraska fans and boosters are delusional. They still see themselves as a blue blood. They would crucify their ad if he tried to hire someone like Choate. Realistically, Lance leipold and Chris kleiman are 2 names from the b12 that will get a look. Choate to one of the Kansas schools is more plausible imo.Montanabob wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 7:44 pmI hear Nebraska is looking.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 9:30 amYeah, you can see his fingerprints all over that defense. Took awhile at MSU too, but it looks like Texas is going to get there. If they do Choate will be getting P5 head coaching looks.CatsNoMatterWhat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 12:24 pmChoate’s crew is having a HELLUVA game vs BAMA. Go coach Choate!!

Yeah, you have to think Sarkisian is safe after getting Arch Manning to commit there. But if the defense continues to struggle there can always be changes on that side of the ball. Choate is experienced enough that he won't have any trouble finding employment. From the way things are going in Boise right now maybe that job will be open again sooner than was expected!CatsNoMatterWhat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 8:06 pmThings haven't exactly gone great for Choate since I authored the original post. There is a .001% chance of that happening. The CU boosters won’t hire an unknown like Choate after the Karl Dorrell buyout. Not a chance unless Jeff has compromising photos of the AD and that might not even work. Kwiatoski is much more likely of the Texas Two if the Buffs go the coordinator route.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 3:03 pmReports have Choate as a name to watch for the Colorado job.

The biggest pro for Choate here is that he's a rebuilder. But that won't be enough for him to get the job.PapaG wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 4:01 pmThere is a .001% chance of that happening. If Kwiatkowski gets the job, perhaps Choate gets the DC job under him? He's just LBs coach at Texas, right?PapaG wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 4:01 pmThere is a .001% chance of that happening.
