I noticed both at Oregon St. and at Ewoo, our players were slipping A LOT on cuts. Are those fields different than ours? They looked “harder” with all the feet sliding around. Is that inferno thing less forgiving than our field, more likely to cause a concussion from a helmet hut like Tommy’s?

I absolutely agree. Too many players don’t even wait to get to game action before they join the surgery crowd. I guess I did like Choate’s attitude after he watched (was it Jacob Hadley) get a knee blown out in a spring scrimmage — try to get them to the field in one piece.
Over on Chambers. He has far fewer options than Troy had (remember the TD to Jason Scrempos? ) and he might have to make more attempts. But the main reason is, this offense is scoring more touchdowns this year. That may continue.

Is it really, or have they just had bad luck in terms of most of the injuries happening to occur at two important positions (QB and RB)?

I was watching the highlights of the EWU/Tenn State game and it seemed like both teams were struggling with their footing quite a bit. Maybe there is something up with that red turf.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 3:22 pmI noticed both at Oregon St. and at Ewoo, our players were slipping A LOT on cuts. Troy also threw a jump pass TD to Scrempos in the UNC game. Scrempos spiked the ball and drew a flag, Choate was not happy.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 4:52 pmThank you. Re: Sean chambers over/under…
Definitely have to allow Elliott to carry the ball more (and Lane when he comes back), and install an effective short passing game. If you remember the griz offense back in the Dave Dickenson days, they ran that simple West Coast offense, with lots of bubble screens, slants, and crossing patterns. It basically was their "running" game. Would like to see that, and that's a game I think Sean can manage very well. The Butcher wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 8:33 amHate to agree with Scats, but I am a little worried about the shots Chambers is taking while Tommy is out...Go Scats Go wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:41 pmIf Chambers runs that much, you will probably be on QB3 soon

I think the big concern is that the Cats don't appear to have a QB that can make those throws.Camo_Cat wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 8:41 amDefinitely have to allow Elliott to carry the ball more (and Lane when he comes back), and install an effective short passing game. I say we install a little of the ol’ Dave Arnold offense from ‘84. Our TEs are thirsty and open. Pop ‘em across the middle a few times and watch those seam routes open up.
