So how’s that OL competition looking so far?
Is the starting 5 set for the scrimmage this weekend or how are they handling that?
(Something, anything other than the childish bs that 99% of us don’t want to see)
Great question! I wish I knew. OL is probably the hardest thing to analyze from practices. The first scrimmage should give a clue, but defense is usually ahead. Sometimes the coaches do things to help the offense.
Spring isn’t a good barometer because usually so many top players are out.

S: Manning... Bailey?
S: Short... Polidore, Bailey?
- Ortt suspended 1/2 the season
Nickel: Okada... Price?
- Thomas injured
Jesus man, I can't play CB anymore. I definitely couldn't have played it at more than an 8th grade level. I appreciate the vote of confidence, but let's let the kids who have eligibility and athleticism at this point vie for the starting lineup. I gracefully bow out
I mean, did you ever really have the hips for CB?
To quote Shakira, “I won’t deny that these hips don’t lie.”
That's roughly a 55 yard throw from the far hash (100 feet from the near sideline). That should do.
Bust out the trusty Pythagorean theorem gets you close to 50.
That's what I did but I was guessing the ball hits the ground a little further away. Not that a ball on the ground does anybody any good. I'm fine with 50 though.

They’d have no clue what we are talking about if this was posted on egriz
That’s a nice pass, but it’s one every D1 QB should be able to make.
Right, but it's one some of us had doubts Mellott could make.
Actually it looks just like the TD throw to Willie P. last year at Sam Houston, which we know he can make. Its the over-the-middle crossing routes that many folks aren't sure about.
VIM have you heard anything about injuries? I ask because Mark Sulser has told people that Ifanse had another surgery and is done? Also was told that Max Kimball may have hurt his other knee. I hope those are just rumors and have zero merit, both are great kids.

That and can Mellot pass in a zone defense? Will he know the holes in the zone and will he be confident enough to make those throws.
