Loud and Proud

Post by Rich K » Sun Sep 26, 2021 8:29 am

Just wanted to give a shout out to the Bobcat fans that were able to attend the game in person and to give you all a place to tell us about your experience! I'm slowly working my way to visiting each Big Sky site for a Bobcat game, Portland I haven't checked off the list yet.

We could hear you loud and clear! Bravo!

Yep, crowd sounded awesome on TV! For Big Sky venues I've made it to see MSU play at EWU, UM, ISU, Weber, NAU, UND (when they were in the Big Sky), and Sac State over the years and it's always a great time especially when the Cats can pull off the win!

I'm glad you could hear me. Second time in Portland, not a bad place. Quit going to eweU. Awful place and they treat the fan badly. Weber is a very nice place. Sac feels like a high school stadium with a big video board, good tailgating. Nau is indoor and sucks for football. Isu is worse than nau. Never been to uncu. Of course Denny's money was well spent.

Good time and such a beautiful day. Alumni tailgate was awesome, had a group of 8 and then saw a bunch of others that either made the trip from out of Portland or live here.

Sat with friends and some player parents in the Bobcat family section and was next to Elijah Elliott’s family. There were about ten of his family there and they got to experience how well Bobcat fans show up for road games here. First half was lethargic for both the team and fans, but that Troy drive fired everyone up and it was loud from after that point.

?Troy drive? What is this you speak of? I listened intently to the whole game on radio and know not of such a thing.

Who was #16 playing QB for a scoring drive? Assumed it was Troy because it was mostly run plays and he’d need to change his jersey number but we had no clue who was at QB that drive. Was it Tommy?

Thanks. Got it! Tommy is listed as #4 on the roster. We were confused on that drive. He’s going to be a great one wherever he ends up playing as a position. So fast and much bigger than you’d expect.

I’m in that video a few times. You can see Elijah’s family holding the huge picture of him and our groups is next to them. That was after many fans started to leave, too.

We have attended Bobcat conference games at UC Davis, Portland State, U of M, EWU, Idaho, and NAU, as well as, several games versus FBS teams. Original plans were to return to Portland for the game last weekend, via Amtrak. We would not have been on the train that derailed, but it would have been a challenge to get home. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the tragedy. 🥲
