'Cats vs. Northern Colorado predictions
First home game of conference play. Northern Colorado seems to be better than normal. Might have a decent defense but their offense is anemic. Early in the season I might have predicted 50 something to 0, but I don't think we'll score that much now. Still a blowout though.

Re: 'Cats vs. Northern Colorado predictions
They only scored 10 at home against Lamar (1-2), which allowed 54 and 56 in its other two games, but only person has them scoring less than that at MSU, which hasn't allowed more than 17 points to a FCS team or 19 to anyone and has allowed just 17 total points in two home games? You guys have been studying the Sagarin Poll too much.

From earlier games, I can see 3rd/4th stringers in when maybe others kept starters in the whole game. Cats coaching staff is not afraid to get some players some game reps. Not like the school over the hill with starters still in racking up stats with 9 minutes left in a 39-0 blowout.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 11:10 amThey only scored 10 at home against Lamar (1-2), which allowed 54 and 56 in its other two games, but only person has them scoring less than that at MSU, which hasn't allowed more than 17 points to a FCS team or 19 to anyone and has allowed just 17 total points in two home games? Re: 'Cats vs. Northern Colorado predictions
I will continue to say this team is special. Lots of panic and complainants about last weeks performance. I don't see it that way. Choate built us to drag them in to deep water and Coach Vigen is teaching them to to tie the anchor to their leg and finish them off. We are at home after a disappointing performance, that does not bode well for Northern Colorado. CATS win big 41-6.

Re: 'Cats vs. Northern Colorado predictions
For whatever reason i feel like this might be a trap game and may go the way of the PSU game.
I'm gonna say:
35-21 Bobcats, after trailing 7-21 at the half.
FWIW I really hope it doesn't go this way, i'm not sure my heart or TV could take it.

Re: 'Cats vs. Northern Colorado predictions
I think I've only ever watched the Cats play UNCU in Greeley and we haven't had any trouble there. I don't care which former NFL star they hire, they can't match up against us, especially not at home. I originally said 38-10 and then updated it to 38-13. I think they only kick two field goals if the game is close in the first half. After checking out their scores so far this season I think it gets out of hand by the second quarter. A team that can't score more than 17 at home against weaker defenses than ours isn't going to score more than twice in Bobcat Stadium.
Updated prediction: 38-10 and we play our 2s and 3s the entire fourth quarter.

Re: 'Cats vs. Northern Colorado predictions
Let's try to make some quick sense out of this. Yes, they beat NAU. But NAU is not good. They, like some others, had there once in an ice age win.
I don't recall an FBS team blowing a two touchdown lead and losing to an FCSer. Arizona is not good and were worse that day. NAU has been mostly blown out by Sam Houston and North Dakota.
So NC has also beaten FCS Lamar 17-10. But Lamar lost to UTSA 0-54 and Abilene Christian 0-56. Saragin has Lamar down there with our friends from Drake and San Diego. He has Northern Colorado correctly ranked number 70 FCS and 199 overall. In all fairness I need to mention N Colorado has also beaten Houston Baptist 45-13. HB is an FCS team from the Southland Conference since 2013. They have not had a winning season and at this point their all time winning percentage is 24.4%!
There's a kicker. UNC has a boatload of FBS transfers under development, but that should not affect the outcome Saturday.
For those of you who enjoy blow outs, this could be the one for you.
