This is completely off subject, so I suppose the random thread is as good of a place as any for it, but does anyone know what happened to bobcat99?
I wasn’t on here a ton this extended offseason, and I just recently realized I hadn’t seen anything from him in awhile. I searched his name and the username doesn’t exist anymore. Is he gone entirely? Create a new username?
I always enjoyed his input.
He was probably tired of fighting with Cataholic

As soon BelligerentBobcat starting posting though I thought it might be 99. Not so sure now though.
Another poster told me 99 is in agriculture and it is the busy season for him. I don’t know 99 personally, but it strikes me as funny that many thought a poster with the username of “belligerent” might be 99. I have never liked people who can be described as “belligerent”, but maybe I am in the minority.
Dang still taking jabs even when 99 isn't here

Some of us are belligerent. Some of us (or just one) have stalkerish tendencies.
At the end of the day, we’re all idiots on the internet.

Read it anyway you want. It seemed like a reasonable observation. For what it is worth, your comments could be taken as a “dig” as well.

Just curious, but who is the stalker? Bleeding Blue pulled my name into this conversation for no apparent reason. I was just minding my own business.

My mamma once taught me, there’s one of every kind in each group, and if you gotta ask who one of the kinds is, you better find a mirror handy. Mamma be smart like that. Lady hates “foozball” though. Says it’s a buncha overgrown monsters manhandlin each other. She told me I couldn’t play football growin up, on account of it being the devil, of course, but I snuck out and played anyways.

And enough talent in that state to stock all of those schools.

Good get for the Southland. They were in danger of not existing. Gotta think they will add a few more teams in the coming year or two. Wouldn't be surprised to see them add Midwestern State, Angelo State or some of the Oklahoma DII schools.

Last year 25% of the starting NFL quarterbacks attended HS in Texas: Mahomes, Brees, Stafford, Murray, Mayfield, Foles, Dalton, and Tannehill. Westlake High here in Austin has two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks - Brees and Foles. Then throw in Carr, McCown, Luck, and the list goes on and on.
Texas HS produced 34 NFL draft picks in 2021, or about 1 in 7. Our son is a Sophomore and in 6A. His school has 2 football stadiums and Friday plays Vandegrift - former home of Prukop. Pretty amazing to see how much talent there is down here and how much money goes not only in football, but the bands as well. This same high school has two charter-type busses solely for the band.

I was in the DFW area for work and was driving along the Interstate with a colleague. We drove by a stadium and I asked him what college plays there? He said that is a high school…. They had a Jumbotron and it looked like sky boxes! I saw where some of those high school coaches make over $150,000 per year.

I didn't either...just learned it yesterday. It's insane. And some of the biggest programs in the country too...not like it's all spread thin over the state.

Does that mean he's back on the practice squad?
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Yes. He’s been away from the team for the last 10 days and now is back on the PS.
Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings
What a ride

The D2 national Championship is played in a 12k capacity high school stadium in McKinney, TX, but I believe Allen HS (nearly 7k students in one HS) has the largest and most impressive stadium. $60 million and actually got shut down shortly after opening, due to foundation cracks; since reopened. Their record attendance was just under 22k when they played Southlake...a HS game w 22k people. The Frisco ISD schools play in the Dallas Cowboys practice facility, The Star.
