Kris Atteberry

There is a nice article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune today (front page) on Kris Atteberry. According to the article Kris is beginning to get some attention from Big League teams. The article suggests that he will make the jump next year. I assume that would be the end of his Bobcat days unless he would return for the last few games each year. I wish Kris good luck but to loose two great announcers (Dean and Kris) in just a few years will be tough.

Good article but that does suck. I didn't think anyone could take over after Dean and do much but I have really grown used to Kris and hate to have to do that again. Thanks for the post.

You never know, with Deano back in Bozeman, he could resume his duties like he did for the TV broadcasts

I agree, when Dean left, I felt he left a big void that was going to be very hard to fill. Kris has done a fantastic job and I would sure hate to see him leave the program. Since Bozeman is home for Kris, maybe we have a chance of a big time announcer still broadcasting the games in his off season.

If not, I wish him the best.

It would be ashame to loose Kris he is not only a great announcer but a great representative of the college, a local kid who has done great.

Best of luck Kris if it is true and we will miss you

I would really miss hearing his voice on the calls if he did move on. His voice is, for the most, my window into Bobcat football games since I have to listen to most of them on the (internet) radio.

I'd love to see him get his shot at the bigs, but hopefully (like others mentioned) he could still work Bobcat games into his schedule. Most MLB teams have a couple different announcers that do fill in work since the headline guys often have other projects they work on. I'm just not sure if MSU football will rank high enough to pull a guy away from a Saturday afternoon broadcast at [insert favorite beautiful MLB stadium here]. I would like to hope so.

So we're passing through the Twin Cities whilst on vacation and low and behold here's Kris Atteberry's smiling face on the front page of the Star Tribune sport's section. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyway, I hope we don't lose him-but Dean Alexander is back in Bozeman...course he'd have to change companies.
