I asked some folk what they thought of Derrick Edmonds
He's quite a shooter - very quick with unlimited range. He's mostly a perimeter player, which is good because that's where he excels. But he's also been a good rebounder on the defensive boards, mainly with his quickness and anticipation. He had 28 pts including 7 threes this last time I saw him (vs. Santa Rosa in a holiday tourney). As a freshman he wasn't as prime a scoring option for LMC but still managed 10 pts (2 threes) plus 9 rebounds when I saw him.
He made the all-conference team and was honorable mention all-state. (He was honorable mention on my all-state team as well). Good pickup for Montana State - especially if you're looking for a great shooter.
He is not a good shooter, he is a GREAT shooter. He puts it on the floor decent and is a good, not great athlete, but he can really stroke it.
