Some thoughts:
1) I know NDSU was a VERY talented team this year. But, to put them ahead of Youngstown State is tough for me just because they didn't have to play through the playoffs. But, it's only a minor bur.
2) When was the last time we finished in the top 10 at the end of a year? Was it 1984?
3) I probably would have had James Madison over Illinois St and maybe even New Hampshire. But, other then that, it seems pretty solid.

At the end of week 4 of the season, if somebody would have told me that the Cats would even sniff the top 10 by the end of the season, I would have suggested rehab without further discussion.
Amazing recovery in the second part of the season ... and an excellent position for the program to enter next season.

I agree... and the cool part of it is... I honestly think we would have beaten some of the teams listed ahead of us, given the way we were playing at the end of the year. SIU, JM, and ISU to name 3...Bay Area Cat wrote:At the end of week 4 of the season, if somebody would have told me that the Cats would even sniff the top 10 by the end of the season, I would have suggested rehab without further discussion.

I think you would have beat New Hampshire. I think the only team that you didn't have a chance against on your side of the bracket was App. St. In all honesty I wouldn't have liked our chances against the Cats if we had to play again. It's hard to beat a team twice in one year. Especially one you have a history with.catatac wrote:I agree... and the cool part of it is... In retrospect, I would have liked to see how the Griz would have played App. St., just for comparison purposes. I still don't think the Griz would have won, but it would have been interesting to see....
The beauty of CFB is that we get to go through this all over again next season. I'm already pumped! Is it September yet?

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
