If this turns out to be a reality, I really don't think you have to worry about current Bobcats going with Krames to Idaho. Not many kids would sit out a year to transfer up to D1. I would be more worried about the competition this provides for incoming Freshmen from the Northwest, which has been a productive area for Mike in the past.longhorn_22 wrote:The real worries that I have are the players that will leave as a result of Kramer leaving. I think we will have a dominant team in the next few years and I really would hate to see some key players transfer.

I didn't necessarily refer to the player going with Kramer. I was just referring to players leaving in general. I know it's more of a worry in basketball, but it still has me concerned.WalkOn79 wrote:If this turns out to be a reality, I really don't think you have to worry about current Bobcats going with Krames to Idaho. My bad, you're right of course. Keeping players in the program will depend entirely on our coaching staff of the future. Will some of our key assistants be offered an opportunity to stay, Junior and Kane for instance? If Krames takes the whole staff, then it's likely some of the current players will look for other opportunities, but really only those that might not make it in the FC Subdivision anyway. The only way to play right away is to drop down to DII of NAIA.longhorn_22 wrote:I didn't necessarily refer to the player going with Kramer. I was just referring to players leaving in general. I for one am ready for a change. If Kramer stays great and if he leaves great! The only negative is if he left in mid January. That would really screw up recruiting!

From what else I've read on this site - griz coaches are also in bars wondering where bobbie is going....Cannonball wrote:U of M coaching staff is on the road visiting prospects as I post this. Cats coaches are in bars wondering if they have a job next year. This is not a good thing. The Carrol College coach is looking good, but we ought to look beyond the state line as well.
if Coach K leaves and bobbie stays - griz have huge advantage..if they both go, the school that acts first has a huge advantage!
