I can see the PC police are gathering steam.

All you guys need now is a couple more posters talking of the nightmares experianced by the Children (we must save the children, Hillary We must protect the Children)

Some posters on how the picture got them in trouble at work.

Some Doctors talking of the dangers BearBac causes all cats fans due to increased anxiety.

Maybe the Senate needs to get involved. Maybe our two senators from Mt can sponser a bill to get this sight moved from WWW. XXX.

In no way do the above responses represent my approval of the picture only my utter and complete disgust with the process.

on the other hand I do respect the, "Your board your rules process." just don't try to justify.

I know you have frequently voiced your aggravation at any signs of board moderation, jagur, and I am personally fine with that. You don't have to agree with our decisions, nor do I even mind when you mock them.

That being said, I also don't care what you think when it comes to how we moderate the board if your input is limited to mocking or dismissive tones. If we don't want pictures of mutilated animals on our site, we won't have pictures of mutilated animals on our site. If you consider that "PC," so be it. To me, it's just simply being respectful. And it's our job to keep this board a respectful place to the extent possible.

And if you sincerely want to see improvement in the board, please share with me your suggestions for how we would improve the "process" by which we moderate these forums, given your "utter and complete disgust" with the current methods.

ya, i dont know about all that jag. that seems to be your deal. i do know that i love this sight, and until yesterday have seen no reason not to let my kids hang out with me if that's their perogative. but i dont want to have to explain to my actual 3 year old, why some moron who acts like he is three decided it was smart to put a pic of a cat split in two on bobcat nation. now, maybe if we had a forum just for pictures of mutilated animals, dead bodies, and maybe throw in some porn, then i would know not to go to that very cool place that bearbac would like so much with my kids. it's just a matter of not always having to act like an idiot, and having an ounce of respect for other people, and their families.

this may be true. all i was saying is that i think i am far from pc. i'd just like to see a little respect. take the mens room at egriz. great idea. beautiful women wearing NEXT TO nothing. but i know what to expect, so i know when to venture over there. and it's funny that after 50 some pages, not one poster has had the disrespect, to post anything that crosses the line. yet over here, a really smart man, if i can call him that, feels the need to post idiotic pictures that make it hard to navigate, and when that doesn't get the response he prefers, he feels the only answer is mutilated animals. amazing.

After all that, I'm afraid to view my PM. (no really I am, but I can still post)

In Bears defense sometimes you've got to tow the line to make a point and sometimes you end up going over the line and pissing everyone off.

And what point do you, in his defense, think he was making?

And if you could, please respond the questions for you in my post.

Please note the picture of a dead Bobcat you posted is still up on this thread. Please try to actually have a clue when you are accusing people of being unfair. Thanks.

Not that any logic would come to you in this conversation, but last time I checked, your favorite means of communication (pictures) often involves a domestic animal owned by millions of people while I can't think of too many people who own a grizzly as a pet.

Maybe turning up the common sense meter for a moment might help. It's quite a difference to see someone with a picture of a grizzly that was killed while hunting versus finding a picture of a very common house pet being skinned and then hung up. Unless, of course, you're a sociopath who likes viewing that kind of crap.

So, did I ! But, I'll take it form "One that knows All" that it's dead!
I'm not able to tell just by looking at the picture? I guess it is all in ones own perceptions?
ok bear, all the pics you post have nothing to do with anything, and are pretty lame. but whatever, that is what you choose to do. how about this, maybe just a warning or something when you are gonna post crap like that 'cause i can't be the only guy that has kids in and out of the room when i'm on this sight, and i wouldn't mind not having my little ones see a cat in two pieces just yet. i realize that this is something that you feel everyone needs to see in their life, but i just don't think that 1 and 3 year olds get the meaning just yet. maybe even give me the curtesy(sp?) of a pm or something.

Jagur -- I've still yet to see a response from you on these points. You have a perfect platform from which to air your views. Are you going to do so in a constructive way, or were you merely interested in taking a shot at this board with no real basis for your comments?

Tell us how we can improve things, as you clearly have a strong opinion on the subject.
