Things cat fans will see much of on Saturday..

Post by Potomac Griz » Tue Jan 10, 2006 12:02 am

Well..since this is a smack talk forum...and there hasn't been enough smack about the Griz/cat game...I figured I'd see if I could get the fur flying :P

Here are a few pictures (off of montanagrizzlies.com) of things that Cat fans will be seeing a lot of on Saturday..

Lots of Virgil Dunking, Shooting & Scoring at will

Hulk SMASH!!!

Strait To The Basket!

Kevin (Houdini) Criswell making you say 'How the hell did he do that?!"

Brian Ellis, making your feeble attempts at pressing just seem downright silly..

Matt Martin hitting multiple 3's! Bombs away!

Matt Dlouhy Airborne!

Of course you will also get to see plenty of Kyle Sharp, a true freshman who will be killing the cats for many years, Jordan Hasquet, who you will most likely get tired of seeing hit 3 pointers and dunking over cat players, and hopefully (if he isn't hurt) Mike Chavez, whose quickness, sweet passes, great shot, and ball handling skills will make you wonder how point guard skills got crammed into a power forward body.

You may not (unfortunately) get to see Eric Van Vliet (our big guy, who transferred from Fresno State) who I think is hurt. Austin Swift hasn't played the past couple games either and may be hurt also. These two are names you will get to know very well over the next few years. If Swift does play, be prepared for a 6'5" point guard with a great shot. :D Stuart Mayes also may be injured (Bronchitis?), he hasn't played the past couple games either, but also has a great looking 3 point shot and is very athletic. Spurgetis may get in towards the end, but he is very good for a walk on :)

Well..go ahead...flame away :D

Should we compare point guards and their shooting? That's not really a topic of discussion that Cat fans should be wanting to bring up

You might want to check and see what kind of a year Kevin Criswell is having before you laugh at this. Here www.montanagrizzlies.com I did virtually all of the work. Now I bid you good day (or laaaaate night)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Martin held scoreless last Saturday vs. Weber?

You might want to check and see Kevin's history of choke-jobs against the Cats. Criswell will not be the guy that beats us if we lose, Jefferson will blanket him all night long. I'm much more concerned with how our big men match up.

Excuses for griz fans after the game.

-The lights were too dim in the fieldhouse and we couldn't see the hoop
-The staff sprinkled dirt on the floor before the game
-The rims were 10 feet 1 inch thats why we couldn't dunk
-The water was empty on the bench

You get the idea, its never because their team is worse.

Wow, sounds like he does pretty much everything but drive the bus...but I guess that's probably a good thing eh?

Martin only played 6 minutes. Krysko started Dlouhy instead, for defensive purposes.

I'd bring a Kevin Hood comment out of the archive but that would be tactless. :?

The only thing I EXPECT to see Saturday is that when the final horn sounds:

Bobcats score > grizzlies score

Grizzlies: 2-5 when it matters most
