John Madden = IQ-Zero

Post by longhorn_22 » Wed Dec 14, 2005 1:26 am

Did anyone else notice during the MNF game this week John Madden made a point earlier in the game that he dripped some mustard on his red tie. He then later went on to explain that yellow + red = green, which was the color it appearently made on his tie. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought yellow + red = orange. Blue + yellow = green. John Madden either needs to find better things to comment on, or retire.

"If you mix yellow and red, you get green."
-John Madden

Priceless.

And I love how he said it TWICE!

John was great in his Prime but they need to keep him locked in his bus now! Maybe he can do some "color spots" for them instead!

That guy has to be the dumbest NFL analyst EVER. I can't even stand to listen to him. On Monday when he started talking about the mustard on his tie I wanted to throw the TV out the window!!

ABC - Please...LOCK HIM ON HIS BUS!

Convince him that Portland got a new NFL franchise, send him there for a "game," and introduce him to a good Oregon doctor specializing in euthanasia.

It's the only way, I fear, that we will ever get rid of him.

 That's funny stuff.

Madden has apparently lost a step. He still might know his football, but it's time for him to focus on making video games and retire. The only color guy in sports who is worse is Tim McCarver. I just don't like Tim McCarver. But back to Madden. Maybe Al Michaels should have mentioned something about the color mixing.

The only reason he discovered it was because his fat ass spilled mustard on his tie.

I wish John Madden would get run over by his own bus. He is terrible.

I hate Madden as well but has anyone ever heard why he won't fly. Pretty interesting.

Wasn't he supposed to be on the Cal Poly plane that crashed & killed a bunch of players & coaches?

Any way we can work Chuck Norris into this thread in a good way? Something with buses and roundhouse kicks and no more idiotic stammering clueless football announcers stating the obvious ... or misstating the obvious?

That's the story I heard. He got hurt so they left him at home.
Also the reason he got out of coaching so young from what I understand.

I think Chuck NOrris was the only survivor of that Cal Poly crash.

I thought Chuck Norris actually SAVED Madden from the Cal Poly crash with a roundhouse kick, but the effect of it also made him incredibly ridiculous

The problem is since Pat Summerall isn't working with John anymore, John proceeds to get wasted. Pat kept him sober; Al has little luck in his efforts.

Sorry to take some of the fun away, but

Madden did go to Cal Poly and did play football, but was picked in the 1958 NFL draft by the Eagles as the 21st overall selection (not bad).

Cal Poly's plane crash was 1960.

Madden hasn't flown since having a panic attack on a flight out of Tampa in 1979 (19 years after the Cal Poly crash). Reportedly his fear was not about flying, or turbulence, but about being encased and not being able to get out.

As a side note, Twenty-two of the forty-eight people on the Cal Poly plane died that day on takeoff. (16 or the 22 were players) A sad day.

Save the earth. It's the only planet with chocolate.
