In my mind, eight Big Sky teams — UND, EWU, SUU, Montana, NAU, Portland State, Montana State and Cal Poly — are still alive for a Big Sky banner or a playoff bid.
I don't know whether the sky is falling or it's time to R-E-L-A-X!

If the defense follows on its current trajectory of being one of the worst in the FCS (after being one of the worst last year) there needs to be some accountability in the off season.
Well that depends on what you mean by current. We shouldn't give up the yards and big plays like we have been because the teams aren't as good. If any of our next five hit 500, then that's zero improvement IMO. I think the only team we hold under 400 will be ETSU.

What's so unbelievable is the perceived talent. Three 3-star and five 2-star and two AA MVPs. I know the stars mean nothing, but you'd think out of that group you'd have a good core.
I'll take that bet. UNDs offense is so bad they would struggle to score on the Hawks.
UND does have a really good run game however.
They do. If they run effectively against us, and we've done nothing to indicate they won't, that will set up the pass. They will definitely game plan for that unless we do something to deter them. They could easily run for 200 and pass for 200 against our defense in its current form.

Still got the "blame Marshall" excuse going I see. He is just the safeties coach. Kane is the man in charge. Regardless, I believe in the entire staff.
I sensed sarcasm in that post but I could be wrong.

maybe the coaches can teach the D backs to look back for the ball too. too me, the coaching staff needs to go, my new motts are "can the ash" or put the ash in the urn. this will be a repeat of the past for seasons. Just look at the directions on the shampoo bottle pretty much sums up the it up. THat what we have been getting the past for years

You sound like the proposed new speaker of the house, Kevin McCarthy.

WHAT!!! Vim took the words right out of your mouth!?!? Bracket, how can this be when yesterday you started this thread by typing the following?
"There isn't anything that can be done this year to fix the defense. We don't have the know-how to do that"
and
"Promoting Kane to DC was the biggest mistake. He's a Marshall student. Ash should've brought in someone from the outside."

The way you started this thread does not sound like someone who believes in the entire staff.

I don't think the defense can be fixed. But I do believe it can be improved to the point that it is serviceable. Will it win a championship I doubt it. I think we will continue to give up big plays. Can the number of those big plays be reduced? I say yes.

You don't follow things on the board closely enough to know what's going on so almost everything I post is over your head or beyond what you can process. You should really put me on ignore. Have a nice day!

Well yeah, because we don't have to load the box to stop the run

I wish I could go back and change my prediction now. Because the cats are going to win by three scores now.
