OK. Old Monty is leaving Stanford to make about 2.5 mil. a year. I am not all that interested in whether it is smart for him or not. The thing though that I find some what interesting is you wonder if Kysco. is having second thoughts. Kysco really wants to coach, but if given the choice, I have always heard he had his eye on the NBA level. You can not beat going from CBA to head coach at Montana, or can you! As good as friends as Monty and Kysco are and the amount of respect they share, do you think Kysco would have made the short list as an assistant on his staff? Come on Tinkle you better hurry up and get that degree!

You stole that From Kysco's news conference.
How much of that has to do with the fact that your coaches are about an average about 15 years younger than ours.
That also reminds me of a news artical KPAX did years back on the old rivalry between Durham and then head coach Blain Taylor. After the artical in which video of Durham and Taylor playing against each other in college was shown, they asked a very trim and fit Durham whether he could take Taylor today one on one. Durham just smiled and said I don't know if Taylor would be up for that - cut to a very portly Taylor (before AA) Taylors comments to the same comments " Well those days are behind us, Mick and I have moved on" yea to the tune of about 60 lbs in Taylors case!

Actually, I didn't see or hear the news conference. I guess he said something to that affect??mslacat wrote:You stole that From Kysco's news conference.
Also, I'm not a big fan of Krysko's hiring. I think the temp AD hired him because it was the popular thing to do. I'm hoping him and his staff prove me wrong. As far as Durham is concerned, I like him. Not in a curtain buying sort of way, but he's earned respect.
