That was actually a comment on the NC game, dickwad- he was doing his job and the fizz/Spiders game (pooooorrrrrr fiiiiiiiiizzlies) wasn't top priority. It had nothing to do with Cat/fizz.

Did Santa bring you nothing but a big bag of dUMb ******?

Short of the name calling (e.g., "dickwad"), I concur with GOKATS on this one. Ash said he didn't watch the National Championship game. Why would he? I like the receiver upgrades he's trying to make. Regardless of who ends up at quarterback, an offensive scheme with a lot of quick screens and speed screens to the wide-outs would be a breath of fresh air (and would keep rushing defenses honest). Best wishes to Ash and the Cats. I'm telling you, Cat fans are going to like what they see next year (2009 season) a lot, and I honestly believe the Cats could be "semi-final caliber" by 2010.

Maybe because he is a fan of the FCS?? Why would you ever watch the super bowl if "your" team wasn't playing, or the final 4 or any bowl games or? or? or?

I'm sure the comment was somehow a bash against the GRIZ.

Well msucks2506

Because you do.

Some how every thing Coach Hauck says becomes a slam against the msucks so turn around is fair play.

Not really, bobby is a classless POS that recruits thugs, whines like a baby, and shows absolutly no respect for the game and the kids that play it.

Ash on the other hand is well respected throughout the national coaching community.

You can go on propping up your boy, and I will continue to support Ash, at least I know I am putting my support behind a man of character.

msucks2506,

POS, really, have you ever spent any time with Bobby? Ask his players, their parents and anyone that knows him what he's like. I understand you irrational hatred for the man, he constantly kicks msucks a$$. The new streak has started. msucks can continue with their 6-6 or 7-5 record year in and year out, and we will continue to be one of the elite teams in the FCS. I hope Bobby stays another 20 years.

I don't think Coach Ash's comment was a slam against the Griz. I think he was asked a question and he answered it honestly. Does anyone believe Montana State University pays him to watch Grizzly football games on TV? I don't. He's a class act and a good recruiter, and I believe he was actually doing what he said the evening of December 19th -- working.

The Griz have been very fortunate to get substantial national exposure in recent years. Imagine how many phone calls Coach Ash had to be making that Friday night, or how many cards he had to be signing, just to make up a small fraction of the gap the Griz were establishing in the recruiting war that evening (win or lose) by playing for a national championship on ESPN. You really think Ash wanted to watch the game? I don't.

Using what measuring stick? BSC Coach of the Year? Eddie Robinson nominations? Mentions of possible FCS positions?

Pay no mind to the kooky comments of cats2506, tampa_griz. He was just talking out his ash again.

I wouldn't count "Mentions of possible FCS positions?"

But if your talking about BH being mentioned for possible FBS positions, it happens every year several times on egriz, but nobody but a few delusional griz fans really want him and his baggage. Its good that you like him because he will be there for a while.

Ash on the other hand is on the board of the AFCA and in the top 25 for victories for active coaches. In addition his public comments have proven him to be a man of superior character and he shows a high degree of respect for the game of football and the kids that play it.

This isn't eGriz. Neither is this. I think it's actually better for Ash that Bobby stays when you remember how much fun he said he had losing to Bobby.

So how did that work out for bobby, once they looked into his off field problems?

Oh I get it. Now that your statement that Hauck was never mentioned as a possible FCS coach has been refuted (easily I might add) you wanna change your argument. That's cool. I'm here to help you learn.

Oh, he was mentioned for the Stanford job, and even looked at for a bit, but when they looked into his character he was on the first plane back to Missoula

Wrong. You have Hauck confused with what happened to Mike Kramer at Idaho. Where's he coaching now anyway?
