Didn't get back to the Big Empty until late, late and get to go through a day with the seven Fizzlie grads (just came up with my dissertation topic--source of degrees in schools not making adequate yearly progress as this system has 7 out of 21 faculty member from exit 105! and is scheduled for reorganization). Great weekend for the Cats, although I'm very disappointed in the Ladies except they're very young; if our staff doesn't get after Jenna Skunk Cap in Browning now, we'll lose one of the best guards in the state. She's had several offers already and she's only a junior. Very satisfying win by the men and I'm happy we didn't bow down to a D1 transfer; remember he's transferring because he's not going to be the "featured" back as OSU goes to a two back set. Great weekend and can't be prouder than I am of the direction my school is going in all programs--especially cross country and track and field.

OC: So now it's UM's fault that schools on the reservation didn't make AYP...next you'll suggest the Griz are responsible for the drought and the war in the Middle East....btw both my former school district (in Western Montana) and my current one in WA made AYP...is that UM's fault too??

I'm pretty sure UM started the Civil War, don't quote me.

Info: Yes, all of Montana's problems are Mazzola's fault; we need lawyers, tree huggers and journalists like we need to fight Washington D.C. Perhaps Montana will one day understand NCLB is not going to go away and it's best to read it and get in compliance. Anyway, it's fun joking and kidding around with them after all the crap I've had to put up with. Besides, you must be an aberration within the overwhelming data...and tell the truth, where did you have to go to get the necessary coursework to be successful? My little one and I ran into Travis also; he was really good with him. Got down on one knee and said "Give me five." It'll be one of those moments the boy's going to remember almost as much as jumping. All in all, it was a good time and I'm glad I had an opportunity to go home for a short period of time. Great crowd, but my wife didn't really comprehend the importance of the "Poor Grizzlies" chant, but she's getting better at it.

All my course work was taken at the UM...BA in History/Pol/ Sci in 1976, M ED. in Educational Administration in 1981....I was wondering if you could ever make a post on this or any other board without bashing all of us that have degrees from UM...so far I have not seen one post by you that doesn't include some sort of cheap shot at those of us who graduated from UM. I've got a novel idea...why don't you just chat about Bobcat sports??

blah blah blah blah...First of all, I don't think anyone is forcing you to read the board. Second of all, most of the threads that end up bashing UM are started by UMers. Third of all, the academics at UM aren't THAT bad. Depending on what you want to study, it's probably the third or fourth best place in the state to study.....at least it's not Wetern. I'm sure Kamarr Davis would be an honor roll student down in Dillon.

I am. There may be a few in this board (it is, after all, Bobcat Nation) who actually despise your "school." I, on the other hand, am merely amused at your futile attempts to justify what ya'll stand for. And again, how many staff development courses did you take whereby you actually learned something relevant in the field of education rather than "...it's us against the world..." If we can't do it correctly, we'll just litigate...

I don't remember saying anything about the quality of bball in Dillon men or women. I think that Durham and Englant have done fantastic jobs. In fact, I have heard a few people lobbying for Englant to apply for the women's job at MSU.

Info: Please take a deep breath, step back a reread your posts; how dare you blame how screwed up Mazzola is on a sibling! The initial town plot by the Army Corps of Engineers designed your "town" in somewhat of a similar style to Washington D.C. but chose a block design to accomodate the heads they were confident would one day migrate to that location. Therefore, any future attempts at improvement would be futile. It would probably better serve the community to do the same as Milltown Dam, that is, raze the entire area, start over and do it correctly this time. But, a large portion of your graduates would tie up the process in litigation until the next century...

Good idea to split this thread. But I probably wouldn't have put it in the smack section...

Here's another one of those low-performing, worthless, no good UM grads...

Hey, somebody must be about my age. We used to have to watch our mouths and say "Bozeman Fire Department" around the little kids. Info probably wouldn't like my classroom; he'd probably take my three teddy bears hanging in the room down! Almost as bad as a Fizzlie teacher telling my kindergartner to take his hat off on hat day because it's "inappropriate" and all it said was "Grizzlies Suck"
