Ah yes, the streak-breaker! One of my fondest memories of that game: I was at home watching the game on TV. Of course I had the mute on and was listening to the play-by-play of Kris Attebury. Immediately after the game, I thought it would be interesting to tune to radio to the griz station and hear how 'ole Mick & Gurns were taking the defeat. Come to find out that Gurnsey stormed out of the booth before the game had even ended! He didn't even stick around for any post-game analysis, interviews, etc. I laughed my ass off! You want to talk about classless people form both sides - that guy's a total tool!

I actually thought Dean Alexander did that game, I'm not sure because I was there and ran down on the field at the end of the game. Almost got killed by their Nazi security who though we were going after their goalposts(Yeah right, there only about 20 of us on the field-They were just pissed that the Griz had lost to us inferior Bozemanites).

Definitely the most fun I have ever had at any Football game. The Griz fans around us were actually enjoying how much emotion we were showing during the game. Our motto for the day was "3 and out, baby"!!

Yes, Dean did that game. Better change your handle there "Old Skool Cat" Boy, I bet you're embarrassed. Just kidding, I do the same thing all the time.

The only reason I thought Kris did the game was because we I thought didn't get a win over the griz during Dean's tenure. But I could be very mistaken.

Dean did the game. He did not do Bobcat Basketball that year, but he did one last season of Bobcat Football and got rewarded with calling a Bobcat victory over the Griz in Missoula. It was an amazing game to hear him call. If you haven't listened to the Rocky Erickson piece about that game that is smattered with clips of Dean's call let me know and I'll send it to you. It will give any Bobcat fan chills to listen to again.

My bad then  I must have been thinking of the 2003 game at Bozeman when Corey Smith ran the opening kick-off back for a score and Attebury screams, "This place is off the hook!"

I thought about it, but just to be sure the site isn't treading on a copyright I chose not too. I know it isn't much better to be sending it out but at least this way I'm selectively sending it rather than putting it on a public server where it can be broad based.

My favorite Dean memory from that year was after the playoff loss to McNeese State (Dean's last game) when he got so emotional that Davies had to finish the post-game show. Solid gold!

Is that urban legend about Gurns still around???? Man, you people will buy anything if it has the slightest anti-Griz sound to it. Trust me, Gurns was there for the entire game (and what limited roll he has in the post-game show, which typically is little to none).

And you have to chime in if anything
has the slightest anti-Griz sound to it.

Not at all. I just chime in when something is obviously BS. If it seems like I post a lot, well...you do the math!!

Actually you cry and whine if anything anti-jizz comes up.

Don't try to convince yourself of anything else.

Call it urban legend if you want, but I listened to the griz guys for the last few minutes of the game, and there was no Gurns around. Either that or Mick duct-taped his mouth shut!

Hmm, the story conveniently changes to fit the needs.....

Either way, I think my point has been clearly made: If it sounds negative to the Griz, it MUST be true. By GAWD, I even heard he went home and kicked his puppy after the game.
