Hard not to have lame smack unless you have a genuine distaste for your opponent.

After reading this BTHOMS comment on A&M's coach's website I finally feel like football season has arrived.
Well, we’re down to game week. The team will have Saturday off except for training room treatment and lunch together. We’ll follow the season-long routine starting with a hard practice Sunday, Monday off, and then countdown to kickoff.
I’ll see you at Midnight Yell Practice on Friday as we get ready to BTHOMS.
Gig ‘em, Aggies!

Sandcat, that particular yell has been an A&M tradition since before even I was born. We are always going to BTHO of whover we are playing. Don't feel that Caoch Fran was disrespecting MSU.

Many fans down there talked about "tradition" as a way of subtly talking down to the opponent.
So I started asking questions about the "Male Cheeleaders" you guys have there and are so proud off. I was quickly informed that they are "Yell Leaders and it's a tradition". I said call them whatever you want to they are dudes that are cheerleaders, this didn't go over well for at least 10 mins.
Then you guys have a very feminine dog for a mascot and a ton of other clones that want to be in the boyscouts so bad they even go to college for it so they can dress up in costumes, carry flags and march hand in hand. The irritated fans pulled the tradition card on this one as well.
The fans liked to hug the guy next to them and dance while waving towels and staring deeply into each others eyes, once again tradition was the excuse for this behavior.
My favorite part of the whole night was a pair of guys a few rows in back of us keep commenting on the bobcat cheers. DEFENSE....DEFENSE.....DEFENSE......"Wow, I sure reckon that cheer is the one we all used in highschool and that right Jimbob, sure is Roscoe, very original hee hee ha ha" "You want to hold me and sway back and forth, sure lets Gig each other" Your hands are so soft and this is tradition and it's original tradition."

TexAg77 - No offense taken. I meant that it was the first comment from a participant (albeit a coach) that made me feel like football season was here. This has been an especially long pretailgate season in MT.
I was very impressed with all the A&M posters here.

As long as the offseason was for both of us in Montana, it is never going to be as long as the endless coverage on every network of the healing at Virginia Tech.
Hey did you guys know that they played and won their first game on Saturday since the shooting massacre? Yeah, and it helped everyone heal and stuff.
I myself wish there was 7 or 8 thousend more hours of that stuff on tv so I can drink it all in.
