I never hear how having the NC at Marshal might have helped Marshal. The point is moot for '96, Randaaayyy was too much for anybody.
WOW you guys are going deep into the old memory now, aint' cha??
Yes. Almost back to the last time we didn't win a conference championship!!
1997?

I don't think many Griz were delusional enough to think we'd beat Iowa. Same with our stadium being on par with all of college football.....I-AA for sure but not in the same vein as Florida, Texas, etc.

That's ironic, because I promise you there are Griz fans who are upset that the Griz are not ranked in the BCS polls. How would I know? Because I've had the displeasure of meeting them.

Why would Montana want to be a part of that Stupidity of the BCS. It's only for 1-A Programs. I apologize for those Naive Griz Fans

Even if it so happens that you upset the Griz in the Mecca of all stadiums ever, there is still two basketball games left....That in itself will win me money

Ah yes, 1997. Wasn't that the year that Ah Yat threw that last second pass to get into field goal range and Griz kicked the game winner as time expired. Thanks for the reminder. Good times.

I'm well aware of who Brick Breeden is; I don't need to do any research. That doesn't change the fact that "The Brick" is a very ironic nickname for a basketball arena.

Are you talking about 5-6 years when we were redoing our stadium?

I feel bad if that is what it is...

And you pretended you didn't know.

So what's your excuse for the Bettyball team pulling bigger crowds?

What, cledus, are those 10 y/o kids you are talking about. No way in hell any fan of a I-AA team thinks their team should be a BCS poll. I'm calling B.S. on your statement being true.

It's 100% true. No, not children. Adults in their 60's. So maybe, yeah, about the same as children but still old enough to know better (in theory).

Here's the kicker (again 100% true): the close relationship of these people to Jeremy Jorgensen, the voice of the Griz.

They are not his parents and they're not related to Jorgensen, but the relationship is close.

Aye, aye, Sarge. Sounds like you know firsthand.

Yet again, you all knew what I was talking about but still have not offered an explanation of why a men's team can't pull a bigger crowd than the ladies.

Allow me to explain it to you: the ladies are actually worth watching.

Cledus... since I don't know you, and since I haven't see you tell tall tales, I'll have to give you the benefit of doubt and believe you. But whoever says the Griz should be in the BCS rankings just doesn't know I-A or I-AA football, or how it all works. They may be Griz fans, but surely aren't football fans.

I'm not going to dissown someone who doesn't know football but likes to go to games. Who can blame anyone for wanting to catch some live football, get out of the house, outside with friends, grab a beer and some BBQ, and whatnot. It takes all kinds to fill a stadium; but maybe they should refrain from talking football...or at least not hide that fact that they like the Griz.

I'm not precisely sure why having a women's program that is in the top 10 in the country annually in attendance is smack worthy, but whatever.

How is that ironic? What's ironic about thinking we could beat Iowa and thinking we should be ranked in the BCS polls? Both are pretty lame ideas.
