I will remember that next time you or any other Griz fan says, "17 out of the last 20"...I swear, you kitty guys think you won the Super Bowl. I can't wait until next November when we put the boots to you so you can quit the "16-6" thing.

65-35-5
or 65-40 (kittys count ties as wins)
Getting within 5 feet of the basket against 10 yr olds at the local park is a lot easier than getting within 5 feet of the basket while being guarded by 6'8" - 7'0" 250+ lb people.. I bet you'd shoot about 6.4% (if that) if you had to go up against the competition Strait has faced this year insidelonghorn_22 wrote:I'd shoot 64% too if I shot from within 5 feet every shot.Dexter X wrote:Pretty impressive!
The Griz are ranked fairly high in many statistics on ncaasports.com
Scoring Offense..............................#21.........79.1 Points Per Game
Field-Goal Percentage.....................#4..........50.0%
Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage..#39.........38.3%
Free-Throw Percentage...................#37.........73.5%
Assists Per Game............................#12.........17.9 Assists per game
And then of course, there is Andrew Strait, who is ranked #5 in the country in FG%. He is shooting 64.3% from the field.
Very impressive indeedI can't wait for Saturday!
Yep, had a bad stretch 'back then', but feeling ok now that it's 3 out of 4 and getting better every year. We weathered the storm because we're Bobcats, but I can see a huge 'implosion' at wa/griz if the dUMb program continues in the direction it's heading.Billings_Griz wrote:Dang, you guys sucked pretty bad back then.G.W.Bush wrote:I will remember that next time you or any other Griz fan says, "17 out of the last 20"...I swear, you kitty guys think you won the Super Bowl. The Grizzly program isn't going anywhere. It is going to stay where it has been for the last two decades, competing for the Big Sky and hopes of winning a National Championship. The Griz have nothing to prove, and it is up to other schools to step up to their level. It looks like the Big Sky is going to do that with some very competative teams within the last year. (MSU certainly included) But make no mistake of it, 8-4 is the worst Grizzly season you as Bobcat fans will ever have to look forward to. On a side note, I wonder if any other team has beaten the Griz 3-4 times and NEVER won a playoff game in that stretch. You guys might have another record you should be bragging about. Hold on...I'll check...GOKATS wrote:Yep, had a bad stretch 'back then', but feeling ok now that it's 3 out of 4 and getting better every year. Of course at 6.4% shooting, you'd be getting pretty close to beating out Durham as the starting point guard for the cats!

How many playoff wins did that get you?GOKATS wrote:...but feeling ok now that it's 3 out of 4 and getting better every year.
Griz playoff record after losing to the Cats - 1-3. So, I guess maybe if you want to make all those NC runs, you better beat the Cats first!Another Arrogant Griz Fan wrote:How many playoff wins did that get you?GOKATS wrote:...but feeling ok now that it's 3 out of 4 and getting better every year.
Seriously, the fact that MSU has won 3 of the last 4 brawls is a really feather in your program's hat, but it has little merit when you don't have the post-season success to match, especially when you are presenting it as smack material. During that time span UM has had multiple playoff wins, a National Championship game appearance, been ranked higher than MSU the entire time, and has better overall regular season record. The fact that you would brag to us about your brawl victories despite all these shortcomings lends credence to the notion that Cat fans are content with their role as spoilers rather than contenders. Far be it for me, however, to question your priorities. You continue to enjoy those brawl victories, and we'll continue to play for national championships.

For the 9343th time, we'd rather be in the playoffs, but the last 2 years our playoff chances were gone before we played you - so beating you was the only thing that could've kept some dignity for us.
That is a possibility... only time will tell. Past history is certainly no guarantee of future success. It looks like Bobby has done a pretty good job of bringing in talent, however probably not as good as most Griz fans think. Is this year the Grizzly D is supposed to be "Scary Good"? I guess we'll see if it is but I'd take a bet that ours will be better. And weren't the Griz supposed to "Light up the scoreboard like a pinball machine!" when in reality the 05 Griz offense was the worst offense they had fielded in 20 years? You guys will no doubt have good talent next year, as will most teams in the Sky, but can Bobby and co. use it effectively? Are the Grizzlies in the process of crumbling, or was last year's terrible offensive output just fluke? Stay tuned. Don't think it can't happen quite rapidly - (See Nebraska!)Topher wrote:The Grizzly program isn't going anywhere. Their one "win" was game that they actually didn't show up for.bearBAC wrote:Are you sure the kittens didn't tie Butte high at least once?grizband wrote:Griz record all-time versus Butte HS: 0-1

If they did, the kittys would count it as a win!
