I dont blame him one bit for going back and forth the last few years. hes a future HOF, loves the game that he has probably been playing since grade school and doesnt really want to quit, his body is just getting to the point that he may not be able to go on another year. There is no doubt that he adds value to a team with his experience. If he can make it another year then more power to him, if he has to finally hang it up then he goes down as one of the truly great ones.

PS I hate the packers, and always have

Question: If Mike Shanahan was coaching the Vikings, would he make Favre run the conditioning test?

probably if he had taken $25 million from them in the spring and then layed around until camp pouting. that is a whole different scenario.

Why is it a big deal that he comes out of retirement? It doesn't effect the way I feel about him one way or another. I know plenty of people that have retired and gotten jobs back. If he is physically able to come back more power to him.

To me personaly, well I am a die hard Green Bay Packer fan, he is just doing his best to not go through there training camps. He says he does not know if he will come back or not, but, most fans of the Packers and the viqueens know he will be back about half way through the preseason. But as a Green Bay Packer fan, I will hate him until he goes into the Hall of Fame as a Packer...

vikings front office as well as coaches have stated that they will not require him to be in camp. so he has no reason to avoid a camp he already has shown he doesn't need, and has already been told he can miss. it is very possible that his only concern is the hurt ankle as he is saying it is. as to seataccat's question regarding athletes coming out of retirement being a big deal to so many people....that is because being a professional athlete is one of the few jobs where other people think it's their right to tell them what the can and can't do. my father has retired and went back to work twice now and no one has said anything to him about it. weird.

do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?
