Billings West - vehicle accident/deaths

Post by TomCat88 » Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:58 pm

I've been seeing a lot of condolences being sent Billings West's way on Twitter from other schools, namely their athletic programs. Something horrible happened there when a vehicle with four teenagers left the road and rolled leaving three dead and one seriously injured. I'm assuming there were one or more Billings West athletes involved. Waiting to see more info on this. Sounds very sad, terrible.

It is terrible. More information can be found on the Billings Gazette web site.

Thanks. What an absolutely horrible thing. It seems to happen just about every year, if not more. Heartbreaking.

Just hate to see it period. A couple of weeks ago, a senior from Plentywood died in a vehicle wreck as well. Never wish that upon anyone.

There's the truth, and then there's what's reported in the papers.

A high school girl from Billings Senior was recently killed also at an intersection in Billings that's known for being dangerous because of a blind spot.

I graduated from West with Tommy Lindsay’s dad Todd and we were in the same “jock” circles. Lots of outpouring of support from West High class of 1989. Over $50,000 raised for funerals of the three kids who died and assistance for the survivor, Zac Malcolm, who was first-team all-state on the o-line last year but he’s injured really bad. Life-altering bad and football seems to be gone for him.

That's an awesome show of support!

Love to see all of the visiting teams wearing Billings Bears shirts as well. In such a terrible situation it's cool to see Montanans band together. =D^
