Good for him/them. I saw him up in the press box at the MSU-NAU game. Still a big Bobcat supporter it appears.

I wonder if we will ever hire him back. Obviously he'd have to work his way back up the ladder, but with what he's gone through, he seems like a great role model for the guys. There's no questioning his coaching ability.

Simms won again last weekend to improve to 8-1, and tied Belt for the Northern C title. I believe they beat Belt head to head though, so they would be the top seed from the North going into the playoffs. That's pretty impressive, considering they were picked for only 8th place in the pre-season poll, out of 10 teams in the division.

A little additional info about Simms' Northern C title clinching win against CJI (Chester-Joplin-Inverness) last Friday night. Zeb Bloom scored 3 TD and passed for 4 more, and Simms scored 46 unanswered points in the 2nd half to come back from a 56-20 halftime deficit. Bloom rushed for 129 yards and passed for 269. O'Brien has been quoted as saying that he thinks Bloom is the best QB in the entire state, in any enrollment classification. I'm not saying that Bloom isn't a great player, but it seems that Joe may have learned the art of hyperbole from his former boss.

Belt beat Simms earlier, and won the Northern C. They beat Fairview 72-6 today to continue on

Wibaux 18 Belt 14. Ennis 50 Charlo 14.

Ennis hosts the title game. Look for Ennis to roll next week.
