GWFC v. Big Sky

Post by WYOBISONMAN » Tue Aug 01, 2006 8:53 am

Since the Dakota's have all but written off admission to the Big Sky Conference, games between GWFC and BSC schools are down significantly this year, however, there are still some inter-conference battles that will be fun to watch as the two western conferences battle it out. Here is a list of the games and my picks on the winners......Note....NDSU has NO games against BSC schools this year......

Cal Poly
Sept. 9 at Weber State - Cal Poly by 14
Sept. 16 at Sac. State - Cal Poly by 21
Nov. 4 at Montana - Cal Poly by 3

UC Davis
Sept. 16 at Montana State- UC Davis by 14
Nov. 18 at Sac. State - UC Davis by 14

SDSU
Sept. 9 at Montana - SDSU by 1

SUU

Sept. 16 at Weber - Weber by 14

Out of 7 total games (all being played on the BSC home fields) I have the GWFC winning 6 and the BSC taking only 1 of the contests.

What are your predictions??

You got every one of them very close to what I would pick... except MSU\Davis. No way they beat us by 14 on our home field (We didn't lose at home last year). Especially if you're saying they'll only beat Sac. by 14. Just my opinion of course...

MSU by 4 over UC Davis and the Grizzlies by 7 for SDSU and 4 over Cal Poly.

The rest look OK

SDSU should be a very good game and I think it could go either way. As for Cal Poly - I think they beat the Griz by 10.

If it was at Cal Poly I'd agree but in Missoula I've got to bet on the Griz.

I agree with Ponycat except I think MSU by 10 over Davis only because it is in Bozeman. If it was in Cali, I would pick Davis by 10.

It will be closer to 4-3 than 6-1, if you'd take that bet. A 6-1 prediction with all of the games at home for the Big Sky sounds a little like GWC-colored glasses to me. How'd you find those so quickly? Just joking. Can't see the Cats losing by 14 at home to UC Davis and seriously doubt you'll see the Griz lose to both SDSU and Cal Poly (particularly at home on Nov 4).

I had to be a bit of a homer and get a little discussion going......

SDSU will be the underdog against Montana, no doubt....

I do think your Bobcats will have a tough time against UC Davis since Lulay is gone......
