Terrell Owens signs with Dallas
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2374189
I have been a Cowboys fan since 1986 when I lived in Dallas, and as of today, I will never root for the Cowboys again in my life. This is Jerry Jones' final straw - I hope he gets everything he deserves with Owens.

Re: Terrell Owens signs with Dallas
I'm in the same boat, although I started rooting for the Cowboys in the early 70s. I actually sent the Cowboys organization an e-mail stating my frustration with signing T.O. I also informed them I will no longer root for the Cowboys after 30+ years of being a fan, and that they consider me a free-agent fan as I am now shopping to sign with another NFL team!BozoneCat wrote:http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2374189

I've never been a Cowboys fan so I think it's a good place for him.1BadBobcat wrote:I'm in the same boat, although I started rooting for the Cowboys in the early 70s. You all are terrible fans. I've been a Cowboy fan my entire life. I will continue to root for them. They will always be my favorite team and I congratulate them on this. I think TO will turn it around and be a better person under Parcells. There is really no difference between TO's attitude and Keyshawn's. Keyshawn made it widely known that he doesn't like Bledsoe and it showed on the sidelines. This will work out fine. Look for a deep playoff run for Dallas this season.

This Cowboys fan will stick around, even if TO is on the team.longhorn_22 wrote:You all are terrible fans. I've been a Cowboy fan my entire life. I will continue to root for them. I heard they passed on Brees since they will be drafting a young QB from Montana State!longhorn_22 wrote:I was hoping to get Brees as well.Billings_Griz wrote:LMAO. I have that guy from MSU going to the Packers. But he would look good in a Dallas uni.Barney wrote:I heard they passed on Brees since they will be drafting a young QB from Montana State!longhorn_22 wrote:I was hoping to get Brees as well.Billings_Griz wrote:LMAO. I've been a fan of the 'Boys since the mid-70's and they along with the
Dodgers are the only teams I've stuck with through thick, thin, and free agency and I don't intend to let this move change that.
I have to say that this signing concerns me but I believe that if the Big Tuna gave his blessing to this deal, then he is obviously confident that he A) can handle T.O. and B) that Owens will give the team a desperately-needed threat on the offensive side of the ball.
From what I've read, Parcells signed his extension mainly because he believes he has built one of the league's top defenses. If they can simply be average offensively, they should be a solid playoff contender in the anemic NFC. Obviously, BP feels that adding the threat of TO to the passing attack will help him establish a better running game. I agree with that wholeheartedly and I really think if the O-line and Bledsoe can stay healthy, this move WILL make the Cowboys one of the NFC's top 4 or 5 teams.
PS Owens is still a turd in my book; I'm praying that he'll simply focus on playing football to the best of his immense ability.
PSPS Billings Griz, do you really think the Tex Schramm/Tom Landry organization would have brought home 3 Super Bowl trophies in the 90's? The only thing I curse Jerry Jones about is running off Jimmy Johnson following win #2; there's no doubt in my mind that if Jerry had focused on business instead of coaching, the Aikman/Emmitt 'Boys would've been the ONLY NFL team to win 4 consecutive Super Bowls.

My point exactly. What I said was I think that TO will not be the person he used to be under Parcells and it won't turn out to be Keyshawn.Bleedinbluengold wrote:longhorn_22 wrote:You all are terrible fans. Yeah, I'm sure TO is a completely changed person and won't have any personality conflicts with Parcells at all. Everybody gets along great with Big Bill, and I have no reason to think that TO would ever dream of being a self-celebrating ego-driven one man walking disaster in a clubhouse.
Being a long-time fan of every team that is playing the Dallas Cowboys, I'd like to throw a big shout out to Jerry Jones for making my birthday wish coming true! Bring on the implosion!
