Easy come easy go
We definitely will. But in their case was likely the best player in the world and the only reason they lost to the Cats in Missoula. I can't imagine losing a player that could single handidly win games with no other help coming from any other teammate. Will they even be able to win a single game next season now?
I'm sure they'll sign a transfer who was buried on the depth chart at Dayton to come in and be their new savior.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:41 pmWe definitely will. I heard they were focusing on NAIA players to fill the void.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:44 pmI'm sure they'll sign a transfer who was buried on the depth chart at Dayton to come in and be their new savior.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:41 pmWe definitely will. Agreed.....It sure seems like there are a TON of DB's hitting the portal.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:54 pmI can't gloat too much about this. I just hope 1-2 of our corners come back.
Definitely not gloating and think he’s got a high ceiling if he stays healthy. The NDSU mass exodus is what’s super impressive right now.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:59 pmAgreed.....It sure seems like there are a TON of DB's hitting the portal.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:54 pmI can't gloat too much about this. Exactly. NDSU is even loosing some of their best Offensive Linemen, that is a rather eye opening development. Shows that no one is safe from chasing that cash anymore. I fully expect to lose any combination of Jefferson, Zimmer or Flieshman from our line, and Tayden Grey, Carson Williams, and Seth Johnson from our secondary. There will probably be some surprises in there too. I bet Cole Taylor will be getting pretty decent sized offers getting thrown his way.RyeCat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 2:02 pmDefinitely not gloating and think he’s got a high ceiling if he stays healthy. DB's and OL are some of those positions where players need experience to get better, and there's a dearth of good ones out there, so it makes sense that lower level schools are going to get raided at those spots.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:59 pmAgreed.....It sure seems like there are a TON of DB's hitting the portal.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:54 pmI can't gloat too much about this. True, but I haven’t seen any online MSU fans glaze the Bobcats corners anywhere near the level the Gris fans were pumping up Loud and the impact of his absence in the first win against them this season.I got the impression he was the next Deion Sanders or Darrelle Revis from their praise for him.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:54 pmI can't gloat too much about this. It's unfortunate that hubris can't power the world, because UM fans would certainly be industry leaders.PapaG wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 3:05 pmTrue, but I haven’t seen any online MSU fans glaze the Bobcats corners anywhere near the level the Gris fans were pumping up Loud and the impact of his absence in the first win against them this season.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:54 pmI can't gloat too much about this. Given the way that their defense was performing for much of the season, it made sense for them to identify the guy who wasn't on the field as being their best player.PapaG wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 3:05 pmTrue, but I haven’t seen any online MSU fans glaze the Bobcats corners anywhere near the level the Gris fans were pumping up Loud and the impact of his absence in the first win against them this season.I got the impression he was the next Deion Sanders or Darrelle Revis from their praise for him.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 1:54 pmI can't gloat too much about this. I believe they had a redshirt freshman, Amick, starting at one of the OT spots the last few games of the year.MrGoodKat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 3:33 pmMy guess is that Wing is next and that when it's all said and done, Jareb Ramos will be the only returning starter on their defense.
Clay Oven, Hayden Schwartz, Jake Mason, Braydon Bailey, Kade Cutler, Kade Boyd... those are pretty much the only other guys coming back who even had a significant role.
It's going to have to be a total overhaul.
On offense, it will be pretty significant too. Though if they wind up bringing back KAY, Gillman, and Brooks Davis, that's going to be a great start. I think the OL will be the X factor for them. Will losing the entire unit from this year actually help them? Or are they taking a step backwards from what was already a pretty tenuous position?
I think he was rotating with Botner? Or did Botner go back to rotating at center?BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 3:40 pmI believe they had a redshirt freshman, Amick, starting at one of the OT spots the last few games of the year.MrGoodKat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 3:33 pmMy guess is that Wing is next and that when it's all said and done, Jareb Ramos will be the only returning starter on their defense.
